Rock Work Hints and Tips. I get hydrocal in 25 pound bags at a local sculpture supply company. It's a lot cheaper that way. We are fortunate to have Sculpture Depot nearby in Loveland, CO. You may be able to find a local supplier using Google. The next three photos show the cardboard mesh, cardboard backing, terrain almost ready for the rock molds to be applied. The cardboard mesh and cardboard backing assembly is held together with hot glue.

Some Intermountain AC-12 Notes. Initial Impressions, March 2010 - Scroll down for June, 2012 update. I had read on the Espee group. InterMountain recommends running your DCC system at 16 to 18 volts. So I tried moving my DCS100 command station switch to "O" gauge. This increased the track voltage (as measured with a RRampmeter) from 13.5 to 18 volts. No problem getting to 70 MPH now! Some Notes About the Helix. Material - Plywood or Masonite? The next photo shows a section of completed helix. I know the masonite looks like it was cut out by a beaver, but this just proves that you don't have to be good carpenter to do this sort thing successfully.
