Many classical Karst caves are described in detail through maps and photographs in a very useful guide ‘’Cave Guide to Slovenia by Jan Bishop. Speleocamp was founded in 1990 with the help of the local caving club. The camp is situated on the classical Karst area where the number of caves per square kilometre is the highest in the world. Speleocamp is especially equipped for the needs of its visitors - speleologists. On sunny spring or summer days a terrace with grill is an ideal place to have picnics.

Camping with bathroom facilities, hot- water showers and a special room for cleaning equipment. There is also a log cabin with a large room for socializing, a storage room for equipment and adapters for recharging batteries. Next to the cabin is a roomy terrace with stone grill, which is an ideal place for barbecues. The camp is open from 1st April to 31st October. Apartment for 4 persons with one bedroom, living room with an extra bed, kitchen and bathroom.

GENERAL CAVING / INFORMATION ON CAVES. In the vicinity of the camp there is a marked, circular cave trail of some less demanding and easily accesible caves. This one day trip of four caves is suitable for individuals as well as groups that have limited knowledge of the caving techniques. The only requirements to attend this trip are a helmet and a hand-lamp. Requirements: 80 m of rope, complete caving equipment and knowledge of SRT rope techniques. Caving map of Laze.

All the neccessary equipment is provided by the local cave guides (including boats, lights ). The Postojna cave the non-tourist part. The Postojna cave is one of the most famous and frequently visited caves in the world. The tour of the cave under the guidance of some of the best local guides can last up to 8 hours.
