Spelt but no wheat. Just another WordPress.com site. Asymp; Leave a comment. Shoulder joint of pork. Bottle of decent cider. Two pints homemade chicken stock. Two sticks of celery, preferably with the leaves. 1/2 a grated nutmeg. Fresh sage to taste. Marinate the posrk in cider for a day or two. Take it out, dry it, sear ina very hot pan until very brown. set in a large casserole dish. Deglaze the pan with stock. Lift the meat out and let it rest whilst you reduce the sauce and test the seasoning.

This was adapted from a cheap cookbook called “blissful brownies” which doesn’t appear to have an author, so I can’t offer an attribution. I think I missed a trick this afternoon though, as the book doesn’t mention how delicious it is warm – next time I’m serving it straight out of the oven with cream. I would also reccommend baking this in a silicone tray, as its very sticky. 3oz light muscavado sugar. 6oz light muscavado sugar.

One Englishwoman's work. One finished crown. The first pretty princess to try it on was our neighbour Beth (19) amidst must squealing, and then her mum, Helen, who didn’t want to take it off again. You can’t see it because I folded it under, but the crown cap has a big silk fingerloop at the top. It’s completely inauthentic, but it’s there to help the crown handler becuase the thing weighs over a pound and I figure toddlers need to have it partially supported. I’m beginning to wonder if I should have had the central mounts (the ones with the big pink topazes in) gilded as well, but perhaps I’ll feel differently once I’ve made them shinier? I’s a bi of a toss up, to be honest. The topazes are quite translucent, so gilding the mounts would maybe make them look a bit orange, keeping them silver lets the pink stay pink. There is something about that blue and white enamel that just looks outrageously medeival though. Posted in princess crown.

You can tell Wilfred is a Yorkshire Flamingo because not only is he wearing trousers, but he’s also wearing thermals and an extra set of thermals.
