Spontaneous Extrapolations

Random musings from yours truly! I love being crafty, so here's what small projects I've been up to lately:. The tutorial can be found here. Instead of cutting out TONS of little circles, I cut squares. I think it gives a nice textured look and it's a lot quicker, especially if you have a rotary cutter. My Christmas wreath came in a kit, so it's the perfect amount of craftiness for my otherwise hectic holiday schedule. I even got Jeff to help me with this one. Lost, Part II. A while ago, I blogged. Spontaneous Extrapolations: June 2010

http://spontaneousextrapolations.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Random musings from yours truly! What do you do? I love Houston and I love my job! I think I have the greatest job in the world! The only problem with being an actuary is that it's kind of hard to describe. I've said all of the following, and they are all true. I am a consultant. I count dead people. I work with pension plans. No, I am not in finance. Eh, you don't really want to know. I help calculate pension plan benefits. It's kind of like that guy in Along Came Polly, but not quite. I can't tell you.

Spontaneous Extrapolations: Lost

http://spontaneousextrapolations.blogspot.com/2009/11/lost.html

Random musings from yours truly! I can't find anything these days. My sunglasses, my ipod shuffle, my calculator, my magnetic entry card which gets me into my parking lot, my building, and my office, my umbrella cover, and one of my favorite earrings* are all numbered among things which are currently misplaced. My mind might be the next to go. This has been misplaced for some time now. Do any of you dear blog-friends know someone who make jewelry? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dinner in a Pumpkin.

Spontaneous Extrapolations: September 2010

http://spontaneousextrapolations.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Random musings from yours truly! As previously mentioned, I moved to Houston. After much thought and attempting to coordinate roommates and housing, I decided I want to get my own place. For the summer, I was able to sublet an apartment from a Rice student who was away for the semester. I just recently found my very own place and I now live at Promenade Hermann Park. In an A1. I'm very excited to decorate and buy my own furniture. Pictures to come soon! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

XOXO: Mmmm... Tasty!

http://whitneydyan.blogspot.com/2011/08/mmmm-tasty.html

Tuesday, August 30, 2011. At the beginning of the summer I purchased a cropshare from a local organic farm (Bell Organic) with my co-worker Sharla. This entitled us to 18 weeks of vegetables and 12 weeks of fresh fruits. I figured I spend money on fresh vegetables and fruit anyway, why not get some premium super fresh produce, support local business, and broaden my horizons and try some new veggies all at once? Black Bean and Couscous Salad. 1 cup uncooked couscous. 1 1/4 cups chicken broth. Bring chicke...

the luckiest: June 2013

http://toddandriss.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

4th Anniversary in NYC. Last week, we road-tripped up to NYC to submit our residence permit applications at the Danish Consulate. Todd hates cities, NYC especially, so he was not looking forward to this trip. My goal was to change his mind. I felt like I was succeeding a little bit when Todd got out his phone to snap a few pictures of the Statue of Liberty on our drive in. But it was all downhill from there. Wore traditional Jewish dress! Did I not check this before? I wanted out immediately. But it was ...

the luckiest: July 2013

http://toddandriss.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

We started our trip on Friday morning. We did all the final chores in Raleigh and schlepped our mountain of luggage to the airport. We rode in a small plane for our connecting flight, and I was worried it would be bouncy and horrible and prime me for a bad experience on the overseas flight. But it was lovely! The first half of the overseas flight was not so good. Every time I closed my eyes, I felt nauseated, but all I wanted to do was sleep. But the second half was far better! But we made it! Our apartm...

the luckiest: March 2013

http://toddandriss.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Back when we still considered March a Spring month, Todd signed up to do a Boy Scout training in the mountains. Hes the advisor for the 14-15 year old boys at church, not the Scout leader. But hes still supposed to go on their outings. Todd has probably not been camping since before these kids were born. We own exactly zero outdoor supplies. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Give 'em Hell in 2012! Weekend Update: 6.29.2014. It has been ages upon ages since I’ve done one of these! Friday night was so lovely! Jane, Sharon and I ate a delicious dinner at Citris Grill (actually managed to use one of my groupons before it expired). And then we went and just hung out at Jane’s house. It was so lovely to be with two of my favorites. I am the luckiest to have found some AMAZING friends while I was living in NYC and always love any time spent with them. Give 'em Hell in 2012! Weekend update: 11.2.2014. I failed to take any pictures over the weekend. Boo.). Friday was a fun evening! Jen and Russ were in town so we did a double date with them! We went for Indian food at Himalayan Kitchen. So delish-it’s one of my favorites in Salt Lake. Then we walked over to Abravanel Hall (which was a bit further than I thought…ooops) and saw the Utah Symphony play! It was really fun and so cool to watch. I’m amazed at what people can do!
