Sprouting Hope

Monday, June 22, 2015. It’s ALL Good: Using the Rest of the Plant. There is an abundance of food all around us. Some of it is even getting discarded in the compost pile without even realizing it is food. This time of the year, two of my favorites might be skipped over by other gardeners: garlic scapes and beet greens! Let us take a closer look at how we use them in the kitchen. Our organic gardening and nutrition education class for the Family Fitness Challenge in Saltville. Salt and pepper to taste.

We'll be out at the garden on April 5 from noon for a couple of hours to work on getting things ready for the coming season, hopefully get some seeds planted for some cool weather crops like lettuce and turning the water line back on now that the risk of freezing has almost passed. November 5, 2014 at 3:25 am ( Food Diary. Recently, Morgan said to me: Can you make a thing where we can store all the recipe links we try and then put tasting notes on how those recipes turned out and what we’d do differently next time? I said, you mean, like a blog? We have one of those. So here I am dusting off this old thing in order to add a new purpose to it: Food Diary. But what about when you need to resize an image and can't maintain its original aspect ratio? As a ...
