Better than a Hallmark Card. Thursday, October 20, 2011. What's better than a day at Disney? A FREE day at Disney. A year ago Kevin and I worked the Disney marathon and landed ourselves free day passes! We went to celebrate Kevin's birthday, and learnt that when you where a happy birthday badge with your name on it, everyone wishes you a happy birthday. Better than a Hallmark Card. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Kevin turned 30 in October and I surprised him with a 3-day Cruise to the Bahamas. He literally had no idea until we drove until the parking lot. I wish I could have filmed his reaction. Kevin adapts very well to situations, perhaps a little too well. Sunday, June 5, 2011. Pumpkin Patch - Oct 2010. For a little family outing, Kory and I took Hannah to The Big Orange Pumpkin Patch in Celina, TX. Besides lots of pumpkins, they had farm animals to see and feed, and a hay ride! The weather was beautiful and it was a sweet time for the 3 of us to treasure before the baby arrived. It was definitely a place for family fun in the autumn so I think we will be heading back for the festivities in the fall of 2011! Enjoying the hay ride! Enjoying the view :).

Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Our Trek Made Shorter. The Bridge is Done! On our annual trek south from Idaho to Arizona, we crossed the newly opened bridge spanning Hoover Dam. It had just opened a scant few days before we crossed it, so good timing there. S still dark in the morning. Have an awesome view of the dam and river belo. Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Not For The Faint of Heart. I don't know if a pattern is developing or not, but it seems like when Scott first starts working on the cabin in April, after having the winter off, he ends up injuring parts. And, it's ironic that his sister did a number on her finger, also, so they have been comparing 'owies'. Two April's ago, he fell off some tippy scaffolding and dislocated his shoulder and ultimately ended up having surgery. Let's hope future April's don't hold as much bad luck.

Better than a Hallmark Card. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. When the Hoggards invited us on a last minute trip to DC, we couldn't resist. We placed a call and had ourselves booked into Hotel Critchfield and on our way in no time. Kale is very safety conscious. The George Washington Masonic Temple - my Dan Brown knowledge didn't carry me as far as I hoped. George Washington in all his masonic glory. Old Town with an old friend! George is a fan favourite in DC. Thomas Jefferson - my favourite founding father.
