Maalgudi Days: September 2008
http://maalgudi-days.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Why be at Darden? Deciding between schools is one of the most difficult yet important decisions one can make. Since it is that time of the year again, I feel incumbent to share with prospective students how I got to Darden, rather what made me come to Darden. I first heard about Dean Bruner from friends who met him on his visit to India in late 2005. They were impressed and wanted to know more about Darden, and this place called Charlottesville! Maalgudi Days: Diwali at Darden!
http://maalgudi-days.blogspot.com/2009/11/diwali-at-darden.html
Monday, November 16, 2009. Growing up in a cosmopolitan city/country, one of the values that I have always felt really proud of is tolerance and participation in others' beliefs. At Darden, I've been able to experience the same value being embraced but on an international scale. Last month India celebrated Diwali. How else could diversity and inclusion be exemplified better? Sunday, October 25, 2009. The best event at Darden! The International Food Festival is, for me, the best event of the year at Darden. I missed writing about it last year and had to give it a quick mention this time around. This year the event was even bigger with more prizes. The judges were select faculty and partners who lurked amongst the over 400 visitors. The official winners for the event were:. Best Food – Brazil and Texas. Best Decoration – India and Pakistan. Best Costume - Japan.

Thursday, November 27, 2008. Black November at Darden! Is it really that bad? As we sat together like a family at the Thanksgiving Dinner for international students, Marsh Pattie urged us to savor the moment and enjoy the much needed 5 day break from Darden and from Black November. Novembers at Darden are called. Once I got there, we went out to see the critically acclaimed movie. Monday, November 3, 2008. Elections 2008 and Eric Schmidt. Sunday, December 6, 2009. 8217; What else can I do, where else can I go, what else can my mind absorb. So I’ve packed and left Charlottesville. I will tackle the exams sooner or later, maybe after a day cruising the crowded flea markets in Asia or after a trip into the mountains. So Darden, I will be back in March. Hopefully, after having added a few deeper dimensions to my façade. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Darden Admissions News Blog.

Maalgudi Days: February 2009
http://maalgudi-days.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. Time for some goodness in C’ville! One fine day in late September last year, I suddenly realized that for the past two months I had been completely lost in the madness of getting an MBA education. I hadn’t taken the time out to give a second look at my surroundings. My world was getting crowded with cases, case competitions, recruiting events, and some more recruiting events …. I, sure, had waxed eloquent about giving back to the community in my b-school application essays!
