Squiggi builds a house. Sunday, July 27, 2014. Rain, but not nearly enough. The garden is filling in nicely, though. There were a few more clearance things this week, another Echinacea or two, a yellow poker plant, a couple of grapes, and a nice grass. Squiggi builds a house. Sunday, July 5, 2015. What else do you need? Hard to believe this was just dirt 2 yrs ago, and most of these plants came from a clearance rack somewhere. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We built this house in 2013 and moved in the first of December, 2013. It is slab on grade, radiant heat floors, and SIP construction. We have done our best to make it as energy efficient as possible. Our eventual goal is to add solar panels as well. Finally.a bit of a break. Where we bought it.

I scored 4 new peonies for $2.99 each at freddies, 3 nice gallon armeria at lowes, and a bunch of 4" perennials at the local garden store They're all resting in their new homes, and I'm on the hunt for more. Speaking of peonies.they're coming on strong right now. Love the peonies! Not to be outdone, the irises are putting on a pretty good show too. Must buy MORE irises and peonies.

Knitting, fitness, and a few critters. Sunday, July 26, 2015. Finished the tendril scarf. Took a pic, put it away. I'm not real happy with the way it turned out.the pattern was great, but the scarf is really heavy and thick, and the yarn just didn't work well. I'm glad I mastered the technique of intarsia cables, but this guy is destined to be slippers for Christmas.it was my second project for camp loopy, so.on to the third. After 2 days of hanging out by the pig barn, I'm sure I'll make some progress.
