A Surprising Shock! | Journey with Jess
https://journeyingwithjess.wordpress.com/2013/12/05/a-surprising-shock
I don't Know the Destination but This is the Journey! December 5, 2013. Now I’ve never been to a funeral of someone who I don’t know and the number of my funeral attendance is incredibly low but going today was a really important thing. As I sat at the back and listened to the eulogy and to the pastor preaching and saw the total despair and heartbreak as an outsider looking in – my heart broke! It was almost as if God was revealing his heart for these people to me. I knew there was no comfort I could bri...

Happy Easter | Journey with Jess
https://journeyingwithjess.wordpress.com/2015/04/05/happy-easter
I don't Know the Destination but This is the Journey! April 5, 2015. Easter is a time that we eat chocolate and get a few days off work… Great! And ALL without a word of argument or denial – he silently took it for US. Then he said three VICTORIOUS words – IT IS FINISHED! And He died the death we couldn’t die; the death we deserved so that WE could be REUNITED with Him! Jesus LIVED and DIED for YOU and for ME. That is the remarkable TRUTH of the CROSS! What will you CHOOSE? A Day in Chains. September 24,...

A Day in Chains | Journey with Jess
https://journeyingwithjess.wordpress.com/2015/01/18/a-day-in-chains
I don't Know the Destination but This is the Journey! A Day in Chains. January 18, 2015. On Saturday, my friend Naomi and I spent 12 hours chained together in aid of Hope for Justice. The idea was that we could learn to empathise with people who are chained together whether physical, emotionally or mentally and undergo human trafficking. I love spending time with Naomi but we both found by the end of the day we were ready to sleep and have some time on our own. But there are some people who don’t h...

You are More | Journey with Jess
https://journeyingwithjess.wordpress.com/2014/12/14/you-are-more
I don't Know the Destination but This is the Journey! December 14, 2014. So I have just finished (2 weeks ago) my first term at Moorlands. Much to the surprise of everyone I speak to on the subject. But the thing is this last two months have been some of the most intense and full on ones of my life and that’s without the academic side of things. But looking back over this term, I feel like God has brought me through a storm. And I’m not really sure if I’ve got out yet! During this time, I realised I was ...

Baptism | Journey with Jess
https://journeyingwithjess.wordpress.com/2014/01/12/baptism
I don't Know the Destination but This is the Journey! January 12, 2014. This evening was my first experience of Baptism – Fulwood style! At home we have the wonderful blessing of the sea so when we have a baptism service, we make a day of it! We have testimonies in the morning and then a picnic on the beach before the vows and then people get dunked and prayed for following with a nice – but often cold – swim. For me that’s pretty much all I’ve known! It’s a real family event! It was fantastic, is fantas...

Isn’t it Odd? | jemiluce
https://jemiluce.wordpress.com/2013/11/23/isnt-it-odd
Laughter, Love and Life. Isn’t it Odd? So I haven’t blogged much recently. I’m beginning to realise how when you grow up, the time you had becomes less and less and life becomes busier and busier and sometimes if you’re not careful you can find it taking control of you. Isn’t that odd? Why do we allow things to take control of the lives we are called to have control over? And isn’t it strange that some people can be so keen to get involved and others appear that they don’t care? Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Lost | jemiluce
https://jemiluce.wordpress.com/2015/02/13/lost
Laughter, Love and Life. There are times in life when everything seems to be a bit of a blur and you can’t understand what is going on. At the moment, I don’t even know how I feel. It’s so confusing. I guess that happens in life. You are going along as normal and everything is fine and then you realise things are in a muddle. But you have no idea how it got that way. God is the only one who knows how to unmudddle the muddles. God wants to unmudddle our muddles…which is pretty awesome. Notify me of new co...
