http://ss-captain.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 22, 2006. Stress in La Paz. The past few days have been the most stressful for Molly and I since we left San Francisco. We departed from Los Muertos at 2:00am and after 2 hours of motor sailing under a clear windless sky we suffered a major accident. Then Nelson from Stormcat volunteered his services. He believed we could pull the remnants of the old prop off while the boat was still in the water (phew! Happy Thanks Giving Everyone. Posted by Captain Mark at 3:54 PM. We are planning a...

Friday, August 10, 2007. Tragic loss at sea. Apia Harbor, Western Samoa. August 10, 2007. Herewith a photo of Michael taken in Suwarrow during happier times. Michael (from our crew)and I toured Just Desert in Suwarrow and were impressed with the love and years of dedication that Michael and Dawn had put into customizing their floating home. She was a splendid cruising vessel. Our hearts are with them as they grieve their loss. We'll report on the tragedy as we learn more. Posted by Captain Mark at 2:08 PM.

Sunday, November 11, 2007. Devonport, New Zealand. 11th November, 2007. The trip culminated on my birthday, 11th November, and what better way to celebrate it than to bring the Sky Tower that marks the city skyline of Auckland into view by a brisk sail with fair winds on a special day. Running on a broad reach so boat is swaying againmakes for a nasty on board experience. Yesterday was equator day but wind had spiked up to 20-25 and so had the seas so we spent most of the day sailing hard on the wind to make as much southing as possible. Monday, May 28, 2007. 16 42 732 S / 151 02 1361 W. 6:00am May 28, 2007. The surf at Haapiti was excellent. Kurt and I went surfing on our last day there at 5:00am. We literally entered the water with all the stars out and a very faint glow on the eastern horizon. We had the place to ourselves for almost 2hours. The swell was a good 2 feet overhead and super clean. We even have pictures to prove it. We expect to be here for a day or two and the then head for Raiatea. Posted by Captain Mark at 2:21 PM.

Captain Mark's Blog: The Canoe Ride
http://ss-captain.blogspot.com/2007/07/canoe-ride.html
Monday, July 30, 2007. Pago Pago, American Samoa. July 28, 2007. I stayed on the bus and toured a good portion of the island intending get off at the point I originally boarded. I chatted to the driver and to some of the locals. Down the road I spotted the lads from the bus window leaving the movie matinee so I tapped the bus driver on the shoulder and he pulled over. As it turns out Captain Zero was an experienced coach. Hell yeah! Posted by Captain Mark at 1:51 PM. Pago Pago, American Samoa.
