Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Memorial Day Weekend I did my first Half Marathon! I was very excited to actually do it and finish the race. Before this I had only done 5k's and 10k's. It was in Ojai and was called the Mountains to Beach 1/2 marathon. Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Last week I had an interview at Los Angeles Mission College for a part-time adjunct position teaching English. I found out that I got the job and am very excited - this was something I added to my 30 before 30 list more as a wish than as something I really thought would be accomplished. I am very, very thrilled to be crossing it off the list! Bolt bus, once again. Justin Bieber papers given out on our way to the bus. First up, Sam Adams Brewery. The best pastries ever.

Monday, April 30, 2012. Mike and Jessica started seedling sunflowers at the end of February. Mike has been documenting their growth. Here Jessica is on April 16 with one of them. Once they pop out of the dirt they grow rapidly! Sunday, April 29, 2012. I'm trying to get caught up with everything! It's quite a chore. February in Ripon always means Almond Blossom. Sunday, November 13, 2011. My birthday celebration was fantastic! The girls decorated my desk in green and yellow (How did they know ;) and footballs! I got a Packers Bookbag (LOVE IT! A lanyard and a gift card. Plus Amy and Connie made me football cupcakes! I went off my diet and I confess I had three. Ah, what are birthdays for but to live it up? An oldy but a goody! Wednesday, July 11, 2012. A Day at the Beach. A couple of weeks ago we went to the beach and enjoyed the sunshine. I stayed in the shade under an umbrella and still got a little red. Saturday, June 30, 2012. Making Over Old Furniture. This is Jessica's first major painting project where she got to help me and dad. She did a great job. Hopefully, she will take after me in the painting department. I love to paint! Mike and Jess working away. It took us one weekend to sand the drawers, paint them and finish them. Monday, September 26, 2011. So, for my cousin Emma's first birthday I made her a little blanket. It turned out pretty cute. Mike is holding it up for me so I can get a good picture. I tied it with little pink embroidery threads. I love the little fairy girls! I sewed little patches on the back. Thursday, January 19, 2012. Yum, Yum, Yum. I took a couple days off and did some baking. I made homemade peanut butter cups for the first time.
