Friday, December 9, 2011. Miriam's first ballet lesson. For her birthday this year, Grandpa Mike and Grandma Lee Anne bought her a ballet tutu and a pair of ballet shoes since she has recently decided that she wants to be a ballet dancer when she grows up. And very fortunately for us, we found a place nearby that offers lessons for a little over $5 per lesson! She will now proudly tell anyone who will listen that she is now a real ballet dancer. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Loving On Some Kiddos. Every week on our way to church, we pass by what we refer to as the "car wash street". Alongside the edge of a canal, there are a strip of makeshift homes and stores that are all in the car wash business. There is a factory across the canal that employs some of the men, but many of the families try to make enough to eat through their car wash business. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Five days from now. We will be at our hotel in Zhengzhou spending our last night as a family of five! We received our letter from the Chinese government granting us permission to travel to our son's province to complete our adoption, and we leave on Sunday! What a sweet privilege it will be to welcome our sons into our families together! We can't wait to share more stories of our time as we take our whole family on our trip to get Isaac! Monday, July 15, 2013. While I was there I got a call from Rebecca. She talked to two different doctors today and things are moving along pretty well! The basic plan at this point is that they will make some space behind his eyelid and put in a hard plastic conformer. Then they will over time put in larger and larger conformers.
