At North Haven School we aim to engage students in an enjoyable and varied Japanese program so that learning a second language is both a fun and rewarding experience. Each class will attend two x 45 minute Japanese lessons a week and classes will be covering a variety of topics throughout the year. Students participate in PE lessons every day with at least one 45 minute Physical Education lesson each week instructed by a specialist teacher. During these lessons students participate in fitness activities, play team games, learn specific sport skills, learn dance routines and learn how to have a healthy lifestyle. We also have many external organisations come to our school to run sport clinics. Sporting clinics we have had in the past include: hockey, basketball and AFL.

Information and Communication Technology. The school is well equipped for student access to IT with the ICT room containing 30 touch screen computers and is available to be booked by classes. All students at North Haven attend one specialised 45 minute ICT lesson each week. The school also has two banks of Ipads which are available for borrowing by classes and each unit has notebooks for use by the students. Department for Education and Child Development. Each year all students in R-7 participate in North Haven’s Sports Day. Students are divided in to four teams which are named after Navy Vessels. Year 6/7 students have the opportunity to be Team Captains. The day starts with a whole school health hustle, before classes move to various tabloid events.
