A photographic exploration of the town of Hyde, Cheshire, UK. A continuation of Hyde Daily Photo. Wednesday, 12 August 2015. E is for Enfield Street. Enfield Street School was built as Hyde Chapel Schools. It replaced an earlier school on Ralph Fold (now School Lane). Foundation stones were laid on October 5th 1889 by Thomas Ashton and H E Dowson. The new school was opened on Saturday, July 12th 1890 by Thomas Thornely. The stone above the door. The foundation stone to the left of the entrance reads:.

A photographic exploration of the town of Hyde, Cheshire, UK. A continuation of Hyde Daily Photo. Sunday, 9 August 2015. The gleaming machine in the foreground, so I am informed, is a Suzuki VL 1500 Intruder LC which was a cruiser motorcycle with a feet-forward riding posture, shaft drive and engine balance shafts manufactured by Suzuki between 1998 and 2004. The roundabout on Hyde Market was manufactured by Halsteads of Sowerby Bridge in 1897 and has been operating here for more than a century. When I photographed it three years ago.
