Join My Stamping Team. August 12, 2009. Quilt and Craft Show. So sorry for the delay in posting. I have just worked about three weeks of night duty. I was swapped from days to nights and I feel like I have been sleeping away my life. Here is our lovely stand from the quilt and craft show which was on in July. One sheet wonder by Chris. Join My Stamping Team. April 12, 2009. I didn’t get to do any Easter workshops which is such a pity as I love making easter cards and baskets. But I did make some cards for the kids who are spending Easter in the ICU at the Mater Children’s. After being really busy at work for the past few weeks we ended up only have 4 patients. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Pretties from Regionals - just a few of them. Here's one of the reasons we go to regionals - to find out what clever things others are doing. The Sock Monkey stamps set has been a running gag amongst the Gail Force Stampers (I know, it's rude, but we thought it was just a bit of a silly one). And then Danielle Scholtz makes this! A really appealing card using that set. I am just loving the bananas! And she's managed to restrain herself to a fitting palette, which looks fab.

Friday, August 21, 2009. This is a nifty technique Flick. Taught me. She was demonstrating at the recent Quilt and Craft Fair (you've gotta go to those shows, there's demonstrations a-go-go - at least, there are when WE go! The faux 3d effect is quite eye-popping! It looks like the image is embossed (that is, traced on the back with a stylus, so that the image stands up, enough to cast a shadow). But it's totally flat!
