I drove this car approximately 5000 miles after restoration. It was properly broken in, very reliable I could drive it anywhere! It started easily, even in the cold. I installed the top and side curtains properly, I could drive it in the rain and stay dry. I suppose they end up in the darkest corners of old garages.

The S-38 was Hallicrafter's entry level communications receiver, priced at $39.50 The radio was so popular, that it was produced in several variations and remained in production until 1961! I sold all my extra Lionel trains, but I left this page up for identification purposes. I don't really collect antique Lionel trains, but I have a few that I have restored and operate (play with). I started out restoring a Lionel Junior set that my Dad received in 1934 and added a few pieces here and there. Questions, comments, let me know. Late 1920's w/o journal covers, note small round door handles. Restored using correct colors. No reproduction parts except oil label.
