The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 12/2003
http://johnthebaptist.blogspot.com/2003_12_16_archive.html
The voice of one crying in the wilderness. Vague descriptions on the various incidents that occur during my existence on this planet. Some (most) based on true happenings that may or may not have been embellished beyond recognition by all but the most astute of reasoners (or those who may have been there) I try to post weekly (mainly in the weekend) but lately, it just hasn't been happening. (tothedays@hotmail.com). Muddy feet were epidemic. I wrote this one while I was camping on the shores of lake Hawea.

Hypothetically Speaking...: September 2008
http://thehypothetical.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2008. I found this languishing in a forgotten folder on my computer today. Like most of my stuff, unfinished, but as I can't remember what was meant to happen next, if I ever knew, I don't think I'll get it completed. Sorry about the change in fonts, I can't seem to fix it. It complains about something or other in the Html when I try. Someone was at the door. 8221; he snapped, daring me to be anyone else. 8220;That’s me,” I stammered. 8220;A bouquet of what! 8220;Flowers.”. A morbid...

Hypothetically Speaking...: September 2009
http://thehypothetical.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 16, 2009. I started reading Beowulf again the other day. I read it once several years ago (Seamus Heaney's. Translation. No, as much as I would like to, I don't read it in Anglo-Saxon. I only know about four words of the language. Hwaet. If you care to know.) I wasn't that impressed with it then. The story was good - I could see that - but I felt let down by the words Heaney. I had just finished reading Tolkien's. The Lay of Leithian. Was one of the greatest influences on his work.

Friday, June 26, 2009. From the Notion Club Papers. Which is included in Sauron Defeated. I thought it rather interesting. 8216;When you are writing a story, for instance, you can (if you’re a vivid visualizer, as I am, and are clearly visualizing the scene). But they do seem to come prefabricated, to a certain degree, which helps in describing detail. Anyhow, I, as I said, thought it was an interesting quote. Labels: C S Lewis. J R R Tolkien.
