Books For One....: May 2011
http://booksforone.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Wherein stories are read and reviewed for your pleasure. Sunday, 29 May 2011. Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen. I must confess this is not my usual sort of book. If it had been two or three years ago I probably would have run a country mile from anything that looked so girly and twee. But after hearing a few good things about Sarah Addison Allen's first book, and finding myself in the mood for a bit of a fairytale I popped it in my basket and clicked 'buy'. Two more bites and he'd cleaned his plate.

http://booksforone.blogspot.com/2013/09/oh-if-only-i-was-super-whiz-on-sewing.html
Wherein stories are read and reviewed for your pleasure. Wednesday, 4 September 2013. Oh if only I was a super whiz on the sewing machine! I would be able to make all the beautiful things I see everyday on those richer more exfoliated people on the that big shiny screen. And when I finally develop the skills for frills one of the first books I'll be picking up is Ms Gregory's. So I can have all the Hollywood haute couture for myself. Of course the expected dresses like Marilyn's white billowy halter from.

Books For One....: About Me
http://booksforone.blogspot.com/p/about-me.html
Wherein stories are read and reviewed for your pleasure. My name is Holly and this is my contribution to the world of stories. Seeing as I tend to consume books at an unhealthy pace I though I would try and share the ones I love and warn against the one that disappoint. If I can recommend just one great book that someone then reads, then I will be a happy bunny indeed! In addition to reading I adore food and cooking for other people (weirdly no so much for myself, I tend to just eat noodles if I'm on my ...

Wherein stories are read and reviewed for your pleasure. Sunday, 8 September 2013. The Emperor's Edge Novels By Lindsey Buroker. Firstly let me just say that I stumbled on Lindsay Buroker by accident. Like a morosely drunk bridesmaid who went looking for a place to cry and instead found Narnia. Upon finishing the very wonderful The Assassin’s Curse by Cassandra Rose Clarke. An Emperor’s Edge novella? And that’s all it took, Emperor’s Edge. Worse, Sicarius, the empire's most notorious assassin, is in town...

Wherein stories are read and reviewed for your pleasure. Thursday, 27 October 2011. Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire. Eye of the Beholder. For a title that's only available on e-readers this is one awesome cover. Certainly eye catching and pretty apt considering the amount of alcohol that's consumed in this book, I know I've had few morning afters where I truly believed Hell had set up shop on my tongue! Mad About The Boy. A pair of heavy black boots stepped in front of me, diverting my attention to t...
