Turning Lane: July 2010
http://welcomelane.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Some random works of words of mine, I've typed when I've had lots of time. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Summer is well under way. It's been a scorching one too. I turned 26 a few weeks ago. It feels old. Comparatively speaking I know it's still young, but when I tell myself I am 26 I feel like I am past the prime of my youth. My kids are getting bigger and learning so much- so quickly! Evie likes to sing songs about everything, she reminds me of Frances. She's very original in her lyrics. Time is running out&...

Malia Li'i Kula: June 2011
http://schmobes2.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Snippets from our peaceful little homeschool. Saturday, June 4, 2011. You know it's time to clean the bird feeder when. Don't worry, I cleaned it. It was totally disgusting, but I did it. Hope the birdies appreciate it! Kiddo had a birthday. The main thing on his list? LEGOS Any LEGOS. But mostly Harry Potter LEGOS. There was a sale a month or so ago, so Kiddo lucked out! He got 4 Harry Potter LEGO sets in 2 days. The Burrow. This was today's set up. For a little while. Truthfully, while it bugs me, I kn...

http://munchkinsonthepath.blogspot.com/2013/07/a-series-of-february-shots.html
July 6, 2013. A Series of February Shots. Just a series of random February shots. This is the photo that the big girls have as Joe's avatar on their cell phone. Joe calls them, and this is the image that pops up. Dad is watching. ;). A girl and her puppy. Adele loves the cold, snowy weather! Just a random school day shot. At least Andrew (and maybe William? Appears to be working on academics. ;). Really, they are strange kids. Big girls getting ready for the Father-Daughter Dance. View my complete profile.

April 20, 2013. Happy twelfth birthday to Joe's Saturday morning helper and my consistent helper in all things botanical. (William weeds a mean garden. If you know the weeds at our house, you'll appreciate this.). William is just one year away from teen-hood and already becoming such a little man. We love you, William, and we are so proud of all your accomplishments! Reaction upon opening the uber-cool airplane model from Aunt Cathie and Uncle Jeff. Big gift: A longboard. munchkins on the path: Surprise!
http://munchkinsonthepath.blogspot.com/2013/07/surprise.html
July 4, 2013. And when Anna Marie arrived home from March for Life, we had this massive surprise awaiting her—a brand new St. Bernard puppy! Joe is "blindfolding" Anna Marie, as we walk her down to Adele's pen. Everyone is so excited to see Anna's reaction. She has always wanted a dog. We were in the background telling Anna Marie to wait a few minutes until some of the kids went back inside before opening the pen. Adele had only been with us a few days and was very. Adele is 15 months old. I was feeling ...

munchkins on the path: Standing for Life
http://munchkinsonthepath.blogspot.com/2013/07/standing-for-life.html
July 3, 2013. Anna Marie spent several very cold days this January in Washington, D.C., standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Participating with 650,000 others in the March for Life 2013 was an unforgettable and awe-inspiring experience. We watched the whole event live on the internet while Anna Marie was marching. Bless you, Anna Marie, for standing up for the babies and the elderly who do not have a voice. We love you, and we are proud of you! Anna Marie in orange. Anna Marie and Ben.

munchkins on the path: Food
http://munchkinsonthepath.blogspot.com/p/food.html
Some of our basic recipes that we use over and over again. How We Make Our Yogurt. You need milk, some store-bought yogurt (for starter), a candy thermometer, and some empty jars. Get some PLAIN yogurt from the store. Make sure it's yogurt that says "active cultures." (Not all of them do.). Pour whole milk in clean glass jars (I use quart-size Ball canning jars), about 3/4 of the way full. Set the jars, full of milk (no lids), in a pot with water about up to the height of the milk. What I've found that w...
