Gently down the stream. My journey with chronic illness. Raquo; what happened? On a daily basis, I have constant pain. Centered primarily in my neck and the base of my head. It does not ever go away, though it varies in degree. It can be ignored at its weakest and, at its strongest, is completely consuming and only remedied by warm baths, pain medicine, and complete immobility. Gently down the stream. My journey with chronic illness. Organ music from the theatre next door. A movie called Heartlands and an old favorite called Return to Me. Full moon appearing gold in sunset. Praying out loud (home alone for days). Canned chicken noodle soup. Bats flying drunkenly across the cobalt sky. Christmas lights in my neighborhood, mixed with palms and spanish moss and all things tropical. A book of prayers, lent from a friend. First crickets in early nightfall. Warm clothes from the dryer.
