Burton Hastings with Stretton Baskerville. Services held at St Botolph's Church are as follows:. First and 3rd Sundays: "Evensong" at 6:30pm. Second and 4th Sundays: Eucharist at 8:30am. If there is a fifth Sunday in the month, there is a Group Service. There are also exceptions to this! The evening service is usually Evening Prayer, with hymns. The Book of Common Prayer is used for this and we all say together "that lovely evening prayer". Lighten our darkness, we beseech thee, O Lord;.

Burton Hastings with Stretton Baskerville. St Botolph's church was originally a 14th century building, though it is recorded that there was a priest in Burton Hastings in 1086. It consists of a chancel, nave, south porch and a tower with crenellation and pinnacles. The chancel and part of the tower are considered fourteenth century. The nave was rebuilt at the beginning of the sixteenth century, followed by the rebuilding of the tower. Created and hosted by pbz1912.
