Incoming freshmen and transfer students may declare a major in communication studies upon entering the University. Current TCU students may declare a major in communication studies after earning a minimum GPA of 2.5 in 20113 and 20223. Each program encourages students to analyze the media from multiple perspectives, as FTDM faculty members offer courses in three major areas: critical studies, industry studies, and production.
