Welcome to Steiner Bears! I'm Heidi, maker of Steiner Bears and beasties. I've led an artful life since I was a little girl. My Dad built me my first workshop space, a place to call my own when I was a teenager. I remember it being a magical place to cut and paste, sew and paint and sprinkle sparkles to my hearts content. 2016 celebrates my 30th year creating teddy bears and a menagerie of other beasties. I am so very happy to be doing what I love on a daily basis.

I am thrilled to announce that I have been invited by Sharyl Murphy to set up at Sage Farm Antique Show March 1st- 3rd with Folk Art. Sage Farm is held at Rollins Building, 144 Lafayette Rd. North Hampton, NH. It is a refurbish barn with 3 floors of dealers and the $5.00 admission is good for the whole weekend. Dealers restock daily so don't miss a single day. Friday March 1st - 10-7. Sunday March 3rd- 10-5.

Original Mohair Bears since 1994. Adopting a Cupboard Bear. Sunday, 14 June 2015. One of a kind, approx 24 cm or 9 1/2" tall. This little Lady is created using German honey coloured mohair. She has ultra suede paw pads in a complimenting honey colour. She is five way disc jointed, her tummy, paws and feet are partly filled with glass beads to make her weighty. The workroom, or as Heidi's family affectionately refers to it."heidiland". This creative space is where it all happens, the building of Steiner Bears and beasties too. This cozy studio is outfitted with all the must haves; two sewing machines, a large window, a big over stuffed comfy chair. The studio has vintage cupboards brimming with goodies and a make-do photo area. The studio is the perfect place to create, day dream and play! Please enjoy having a peek around the studio.
