Gees Place: Not all paintings visible-an explanation
http://gees-place.blogspot.com/p/in-recent-years-i-have-purchased-some.html
Altering, finishing and decorating my first dollhouse. Not all paintings visible-an explanation. In recent years I have purchased some real little paintings that will find their place in my house. But those are not enough to fill the rooms by far. For decades I have been a great admirer of a painter, in my vast opinion the best painter alive today. And not just that, the best painter in -literally- ages. So I had my heart and mind set on these images. I fully understand and respect this. Tulpen zijn er i...

http://gees-place.blogspot.com/p/bordurenembroidery.html
Altering, finishing and decorating my first dollhouse. Here’s a picture of a tapestry frame I glued together today. The image is a peackock, embroidered in silk. Last year I've starte...

Gees Place: Is there a story to the people in this house?
http://gees-place.blogspot.com/p/is-there-story-to-people-in-this-house.html
Altering, finishing and decorating my first dollhouse. Is there a story to the people in this house? Yes, there is a story to this house and its inhabitants. We often see that period dollhouses from around 1800 are displayed as a property decorated with overwhelming splendor. And of course that is fun, making your dollhouse a house that is beautiful, and to process your own ideas in it. Nothing wrong in that. There was, besides these exorbitant wealth also grinding poverty among the working class. Yes, t...

Gees Place: finally finished!
http://gees-place.blogspot.com/2013/09/finally-finished.html
Altering, finishing and decorating my first dollhouse. Zaterdag 14 september 2013. Good evening loyal readers,. The game table, I am glad to say, is finished. Taking in consideration this, besides the simple bookcases in the library, is. The first piece of furniture I made, without having any instructions or measurements to begin with, in spite of the flaws I am quite satisfied with how it turned out. Notice the bands of veneer go in opposite directions? That was the most fun to. So that is the game table.

Once We Were Faeries
http://oncewewerefaeries.blogspot.com/2015/03/2015-is-promising-to-be-better-year.html
One of a kind handsculpted fairies, collectible art dolls, mermaids, pixies and frogs by Judy A. Raley. 2015 is promising to be a better year than the one before. Rusty, my little dog who was diagnosed with Leukemia remains in remission and looks and acts like his old self. Cataract surgery on my left eye is doing great. I can see to drive without my glasses, but close up is still bad. New glasses in a couple of weeks should take care of that and then back to sculpting, can't wait! Love and best wishes,.
