Golden Triangle Wine Range. The 11 grape varietals growing on the farm are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, Pinotage, Shiraz, Petit Verdot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Viognier. Soil types range from Tukulu and Oakleaf to Estcourt. After Schreiber acquired the property in 1981 an extensive replanting programme was launched to provide Stellenzicht with the best clonal material. An ongoing alien vegetation clearing programme was started in 2007.

Considered one of South Africa’s Pinotage masters with a personal tally of five ABSA Top 10 scores, Guy is passionate about this varietal. He joined Gilbey’s in Stellenbosch as a trainee technical assistant and then spent six years honing his skills as winemaker at several cellars in the Winelands.
