I keep a lab notebook for my experiments at work, so why not keep a lab notebook for my experiments at home? Friday, June 29, 2012. Originally uploaded by stephykay. Corn soup is a recurring. Around here. This go round was inspired by a corn and zucchini soup with a bisque-like texture. The zucchini gave it an odd tinge, and muddled the taste of the corn as well. extracurricular laboratory notebook: corn soup

http://stephaniekays.blogspot.com/2009/09/corn-soup.html

I keep a lab notebook for my experiments at work, so why not keep a lab notebook for my experiments at home? Monday, September 14, 2009. Originally uploaded by stephykay. I was thinking spicy corn chowder, but I decided I wanted sweet. 1 I need to learn to cut corn off the cob without kernels flying around the kitchen. 2 The Le Creuset was too big for this dish, so it wasn't that deep. so the first time I used the immersion blender, it wasn't, well, immersed enough, so I made a bit of a mess.

I keep a lab notebook for my experiments at work, so why not keep a lab notebook for my experiments at home? Saturday, February 5, 2011. Pernil Asado con Mojo. This was so good! I used a much smaller pork shoulder (3.5 lbs) and the bone was already removed. The leftovers were great in enchilada pie and quesadillas. Laotian food from Food and Wine magazine. Chicken and hominy soup. Chickpea and spinach stew. Butternut squash soup with coconut and ginger. So when I ran across this recipe I had to give it a...

Candice Cooks - photos, experiences, recipes, restaurant reviews, and just about anything to do wit: December 2009

http://candicecooks.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 31, 2009. I know you all know how I have some pretty nice coworkers. I managed to get a small group of them to do a holiday cookie swap at the office, thanks to the help of one of my coworkers, Chris, who shared the idea. It was my very first cookie swap and it was so much fun to see what people came up with. There were eight of us total and I think everyone came up with really neat treats. Funny how none of us did something easy like chocolate chip cookies. Anne's walnut ball cookies.

Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Spice and rice (cambridge). What do you do when it's 96 degrees outside and you didn't bring a lunch to work? Yes, that's right folks, me and a couple of coworkers were too chicken to face the heat and humidity by getting in our cars to seek out food this afternoon so instead we had some delivered from Spice and Rice. In Cambridge ( Inman Square. Have some sushi. It was definitely worth the $2.00 delivery fee. And yo yo, did I have some sushi! Our other friend had the vegeta...

Look at this fucking hobester. A girl a dog and a blog. October 15, 2013. Pork adobado with roasted sweet potatoes. I find myself turning to Rick Bayless’s. Quite frequently. As the name suggests, the recipes are suitable for every day cooking, and are great options for cooking at home after a long day at work. Bayless does an excellent job of proving information on where to obtain supplies, and provides substitutes that may be easier to find in your local grocery store. October 15, 2013. October 14, 2013.

It All Started when. In 2006, Stephanie was at a crossroads. She quit her job and went on a three week vacation down under. When she came back, she was at a loss. What to do now? She could go back into the work force and get a similar job or she could start fresh. The opportunity to start something new was seductive. But what should she do? A friend asked about her hobbies, things she enjoyed doing. Well, she loved to read. Had she ever thought about writing?

Look at this fucking hobester. A girl a dog and a blog. February 24, 2014. Russian tea cookies, Mexican wedding cookies, almond crescents… whatever you call them, I am a sucker for a good nut flour cookie. I used toasted hazelnut flour for these, and I increased the ratio of nut flour to all purpose flour. This is a good, easy recipe to quickly satisfy a cookie craving. It’s easy to scale these up, too. 1 stick butter, softened. 1/2 c confectioner’s sugar, divided. 1 t vanilla extract (or hazelnut flavor!

Taste is relative and is the sum total of the intellectual and emotional experiences of the individual experiences of the individual. Taste, in order to be positive and vital, must be exercised and developed. Taste is changeable and is influenced by environment. A highly cultivated taste, a taste that is knowledgeable and eclectic, is likely to be exciting and provocative, a personal taste at its highest level. 8212; Eleanor Brown.
