Because sometimes, fairy tales really do come true. Clearly the strong-willed mother has the upper hand seeing as she has had more experience being strong-willed, and so I have lived the past three years in blissful victory. Until two months ago. I finally decided enough was enough! In the early days, we tried many creative solutions to keep his naps going (please refer to this post. But then December came. And he has always gotten up early, but guys, it was getting serious. Equal parts blessing and curse.

I run barefoot playing tag with my brothers and climb the apple tree. Monday, February 11, 2013. The Blizzard of 2013". People started talking about the "Snowpocalypse" a couple of days before it hit. It was potentially the biggest snowstorm in the area since the Blizzard of 1978, so Aaron stayed home Friday and we hunkered down while the snow began to fall.
