Out of nowhere we come across Shasta Lake near Redding. I am still struck by the proportions of things out here. Lakes at home are like swimming pool size compared to this lake. The next day we head on down to Sonoma. Our Innkeeper suggests we take a quick detour to Leggett to go to the Chandelier Tree, one of the Drive Through Redwoods.
