Biography: Illustrator to Impressionistic Artist. Born in 1959, Steven spent most of his early childhood in Llysfaen, a small, idyllic village in the hills of North Wales. An ideal place for an artist to grow up and the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape inspired him to sketch and paint and by the age of 10, he had won his first Art competition. In 1975, he began studying at Wrexham Art College, and was taught by the excellent Welsh artist Keith Bowen. Lancia Cars, Jaguar Cars, Start-Rite shoes.

I was born in Chester in 1959 and lived there until the age of four.My parents then decided to move back to Llysfaen to live with my grand-mother. We were lucky to live right next to the Marian which has amazing views of Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Snowdonia and this became my daily playground and subconsciously gave me the inspiration to paint people with nature.
