OH SWEET DEATH COME FOR ME: what a week

OH SWEET DEATH COME FOR ME: what a week. Tuesday, November 04, 2008. One Hundred Fifty Eighth Entry. Kind of a dry spell for Steven. I run a reading series now. I'm a big man with big plans. My lungs are empty for a brief moment. Now I'm restless, bored with the tragedy of crawling snakes. Lungs are pitiful bags, unable to beg my cigarettes for relief. I'm going to announce myself as mayor when we get there. Are churches without roofs closer to God? This town will be my line in the dirt for decent people.

OH SWEET DEATH COME FOR ME: what a week: One Hundred and Fifty Third Entry

http://stevepoetsteve.blogspot.com/2008/04/one-hundred-and-fifty-third-entry.html

OH SWEET DEATH COME FOR ME: what a week. Thursday, April 24, 2008. One Hundred and Fifty Third Entry. Still hanging in there, like that little kitty on the branch in the motivational poster. This last poem at read at Amy Lawless' Control Reading Series. You should all go to it. it's muy bueno. Ps the Weather Wand is a weapon used by DC supervillain the Weather Wizard. I don't actually know if that has any relevance. There is a wheel made of thirty spokes,. Meant not to roll across the muddy street. Of ra...

OH SWEET DEATH COME FOR ME: what a week. Tuesday, July 31, 2007. One Hundred and Fourtieth Entry. Ingmar Bergman died. That's a bummer. Things are going normally for me, although I'd like to be sending out and doing readings more. I'd just like to be writing more. Here's an idea I tried out using some original lines, some found lines, and Microsoft Excel. Whatever the falling object hits. Notified by the members. Golden heart in harmony. Hand emptied of flying object. Personal defense and "competition".

The first one will be on the last Wednesday of May and will feature Nathan Austin and Lauren Ireland. It'll be at Home Sweet Home on Chrystie. St I have more information, but I'll update you dudettes. Also, I went to the Flarf. This poem is being posted especially for Dan Magers. I burn most of the things I own. On fire while my right hand set.

OH SWEET DEATH COME FOR ME: what a week. Wednesday, November 07, 2007. One Hundred and Forty-Sixth Entry. Why hello there. I've been neglecting you, little blog. I've had work and play and mid-terms and blogging and movies and smooches and arguments and, most of all, a top secret project. But I'm back, and hopefully we'll continue to see a lot of each other. Always nice to answer questions and learn more about yourself in the process. 1 Tell me something obvious about you. I have a dark sense of humor. 2 Tell me something about you that many don't know. I want to be a good person. 3 What is your biggest fear? Life, with death a close second. 5 Name one thing you want that you can't buy with money?

My mightiest flights of poesy have / no power to conjure the slightest of her curves. September 06, 2006. I've decided to take another crack at binding the collections of poems (1998-2005) I gave to Hope last September, just before our wedding- a collection that includes the series of poems that gave this site its name, New Muse. This means I have to re-format the darned thing for eight-page folios- which I'd have to do anyway, since Word dropped all my formatting when I got a new computer.

Poetry, design, film and other pop culture issues. Sunday, February 25, 2007. Oneida and Trans Am. Katie and I finally went to a show in New York City. Oneida and Trans Am, two bands that I really adore. Too bad we went to the early show and everyone was on this major time crunch to finish so they could perform again at 10:45 pm. I could have done without the opener, Big Bear, cause nouveau hardcore is just not my scene. Saturday, February 24, 2007. This is the most adorable, feel good news story EVER!

Monday, 6 June 2011. Frauds, fakes and tricksters - an entertaining post on The Roar. The Roar is one of those sports blogs that usually delivers more than it promises and has only recently begun to be inundated by advertising. One of my favourite recent posts has been by Geoff Lemon, in the second half of a piece on sporting fakes and frauds. But more serious sports reporters and financial journalists should have taken notice when the company's failure led to the Sydney Kings basketball team collapsing.
