Free Block of the Months. Links to Great Bloggers and Shops. Tuesday, December 10, 2013. We made it to December! Wow have we been having some goofy weather. It can’t decide if it is going to stay cold or warm. That is North Carolina for you. Two weeks exactly until Christmas, or so my husband told me this morning. I do not want to admit that because we still have presents to get. We will get them, I have no fear but talk about waiting until the last minute. I love those mats.so cute:). December 10, 2013 ...

Stitchin' Thyme: Comfy and Cozy

http://stitchanything.blogspot.com/2013/12/comfy-and-cozy.html

Free Block of the Months. Links to Great Bloggers and Shops. Tuesday, December 17, 2013. My daughter Alice turned 11 on this month and one of the things she asked for was this huge stuffed dog. Prancer was very cautious around him in the beginning but now seems to enjoy being comfy and cozy in his lap. Alice has been getting creative with coke bottle lids. She wanted to make some snowmen but we were out of paint. That didn’t stop her though. I think her ornaments turned out great! Speaking of comfy and c...

A Little Off Quilter: February 2012

http://alittleoffquilter.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

A Little Off Quilter. Misadventures of a newbie quilter. Monday, February 27, 2012. Getting Back Into The Swing. Of sewing, that is. Now that the kids have gone home and my household is returning to normal, I'm finally able to find some time to disappear into my sewing room. I spent a couple of afternoons folding fabric, trying to finish organizing my stash, but decided to take a break and do some actual sewing. In the meantime, I decided to finish this runner by quilting in the ditch, much like I did on...

Liberty Rose: June 2013

http://libertyrosepatterns.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 17, 2013. It's done, stick a fork in it, DONE! My husband will be so happy to hear those words. My new tool shed is finally done, complete with me spending three hours this morning digging up all the grass that was around it and getting new soil down and a few things planted. I wanted to surprise my husband when he got home this evening to see that it was finished! I love it and know that it will be very useful for me to have all my gardening things in one place. I grow yarrow really well!

Liberty Rose: November 2013

http://libertyrosepatterns.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Where there's a will. My husband figured out that if I signed in from someone else's blog, I could get to my blog. So for now that will work until we can figure out what else to do! So what follows are just some random pictures because that's sort of how my life is lately. Lots of classes and grandchildren and sewing and shopping. Funny what goes through a two year old little brain! This is the piece I'm working on now. It is super long and will be used as a runner at Chri...

Liberty Rose: January 2014

http://libertyrosepatterns.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Don't you just love a snow day where you know you're stuck at home and no one can get to you and you get lots and lots done with no interruptions.that's today for me! We had about five inches of snow over night and for those of you that don't live in the south, that's a big deal for us! So I'm all snuggled inside, working on paper pieced carrots this morning, with lots of other class projects to try and get to today. Don't you just love snow on a pine tree? Started cutting ou...

Liberty Rose: February 2013

http://libertyrosepatterns.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 25, 2013. I just finished another quilt top. Feeling a little under the weather the past few days and decided, after I got my computer work done, that I would tackle a quilt project I started last year. So the blocks are all together and I just sewed the last border on. YAY! I changed the borders from the pattern and probably ended up taking longer to do them my way than the magazine directions. Oh well, it's done. Now off to Laura for her to work some quilting magic! Of course I love re...

Liberty Rose: April 2013

http://libertyrosepatterns.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Where did the month go? What a super busy month! Joan finished this beautiful redwork quilt.a Crabapple Hill pattern I believe. Her Thanksgiving quilt. YAY Dolly! Laura made her first muffin pincushion. Great job! Christina was in a fallish kind of mood. Dolly couldn't believe she had another project done. YAY again! And Liza's sweet pincushions were adorable. And Tricia finished Spring Breezes. Love it! One of her many gifts. A small group met this morning for a selvedge class&#...

Liberty Rose: July 2013

http://libertyrosepatterns.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 24, 2013. I'm still here.busy as ever with hardly ever any downtime it seems. But, even though busy, it's a good kind of busy! Joshua taking a break from who knows what. He loves to watch baseball, Nascar and the Cars movie on TV. I took the girls to Build-a-Bear one afternoon after a Saturday class. What a crazy place Crabtree Valley Mall is on a Saturday. But we persevered and, as you can see, their sweet little bears are sitting next to them. Well, we have a new over-achiever! OK ladie...

About this time last summer, i started this bag. i really wanted to make a bag with this crazy awesome bicycle fabric fabric, and i was really attracted to the pattern because it looks a lot like my favorite purse.
