History of St. John's Church. Ldquo;One generation passeth away and another generation cometh;. But the earth abideth forever.” Ecclesiastes 1:4. St John's has intact records for our cemetery, which dates back to the late eighteenth century, and includes the grave of Revolutionary War patriot Lt. Aaron Chew. Fellowship and Outreach at St. John's. Fellowship — St. John's sponsors a variety of events during the year, designed to promote fellowship and closeness within our parish membership, as well as within individual families. A recent addition to our fellowship has been the annual Gift Basket auction sponsored by the Episcopal Church Women (ECW). This event is held in April, and is supported and attended by many in the congregation. (In 2009, the auction will be held on April 28.). Lenten Program and Supper.
