Writefully So: The Coral Anniversary
http://writefullyso.blogspot.com/2009/03/coral-anniversary.html
Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Did you know that the theme for a 35th wedding anniversary is CORAL? All of that is to say that the thoughtfulness of finding out the right theme, matching the flowers to the theme, writing a sweet love note in the card, finding a card of the beach and so on shows effort. And that's all most women want. We want to know someone thought of us. A lot. We want to know someone made an effort on our behalf. It's not about extravagance. That's funny. I would not have know that.

Writefully So: June 2008

Sunday, June 15, 2008. The Happiest Sad Day. Our family just climbed out of the pool after a day of grilling out and relaxing together. Seeing my husband play in the water with his darling grandson was such a blessing this year. Our baby boy has blessed us all and this first Father's Day for my son-in-love was wonderful to observe. Or teaching me how to sing, he was diligent and patient and ever the teacher. He never let a teachable moment slip through his hands. I'm not mediocre, Dad. Thanks.

Writefully So: April 2009
http://writefullyso.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 4, 2009. The Bible tells us to be hospitable to strangers, but in this day and time, few people are willing to risk taking that command literally. I know I hesitate to put myself or my family in harm's way and I am married to someone who anticipates every possible negative thing that could happen. He is "Mr. Safety" - according to my children - and I tend to agree! Would you like to stay at our house? I asked. "That would be great! The next few days turned out to be wonderful. We had ...

Writefully So: February 2009
http://writefullyso.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 6, 2009. Today, my husband pointed out that we are about to celebrate our 35th Valentine's Day. I immediately searched my memory for the traditional 35th Valentine's Day gift and I believe it's diamonds. At least that's what I've heard. What I don't know is where the years went. Some of them I don't even remember. Fewer and fewer details are clear. I don't remember specific dates of some events and I have to stop and think about what years we lives in what house. Love my baby boy! Althou...

Chronicles (and a few confessions) of a young mama...: Eyeball hair
http://the3bryants.blogspot.com/2011/03/eyeball-hair.html
Chronicles (and a few confessions) of a young mama. Thursday, March 31, 2011. Caroline is hysterical. At least she thinks she is. She just started telling knock, knock jokes. Lucky us! We are in such a fun stage that I am sure every parent goes through. My favorite "joke" so far. Knock, knock. Who's there? Followed by an eruption. Caroline tells me that she feels sick a lot. You can try again tonight, Nona". John Robert has been pretending that he is Caroline's. School for a festival. The first thing...

Writefully So: March 2009
http://writefullyso.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 28, 2009. Among my Christian friends, it's not uncommon for someone to speak up in agreement when someone else is praying aloud. Sometimes, someone will say, "Yes, Lord! Or "Come, Lord Jesus" for instance. In all of my years of praying, I've never been interrupted with any comment too surprising. until now. And he dropped to the floor. He was trembling, pale, sweating and his heart was racing. And the guy (we now knew his name was Chris) said, "No, go ahead.". But the reality is, Chris ha...

Monday, March 30, 2015. Holy Week and Your Kids. The week between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday is typically called Holy Week. It’s not uncommon to skim over the events after Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and His crucifixion on Friday. When we skim over those events, we lose some of the important information about what Jesus was going through, as well as the nuances of what His followers as well as His haters may have been struggling with and feeling. Ideas for Celebrating Holy Week and Easter:.
