Stones With Fair Colors: November 2014

http://stoneswithfaircolors.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Saturday, November 29, 2014. The Making of a Christmas Tree. The Art of Quitting". This was the title of an article I saw yesterday while sipping Godiva Hot Chocolate in an abandoned corner of Barnes and Noble, stealing a few glances in my favorite magazines that I can not remotely afford. (Have you ever stolen anything? I mean, besides glances? That post coming up.). Little moments I don't want to miss, I decided. Have I felt bad about quitting? She would start the day after Halloween because the house ...

Stones With Fair Colors: August 2015

http://stoneswithfaircolors.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 31, 2015. The kids survived the day! We arrived at 6 am. The kids were in really good spirits and they wore the craziest outfits just to keep the moment humorous. The boys shared a room and Shelbie was next door. Shelbie, on the other hand, had all sorts of GI problems. She has pretty significant gastritis which could actually be H-pylori and some other unidentified growths that will be determined by pathology. Bone marrow results will take another couple of weeks. Sunday, August 30, 2015.

Stones With Fair Colors: June 2015

http://stoneswithfaircolors.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Yesterday, the Shwachman Diamond Syndrome world lost another sweet soul. She was 52. One of the oldest living SDSer's and diagnosed back in the day by Dr. Shwachman himself. While I didn't know her personally and never had the chance to meet her, I knew her mom. Today, I want to pay tribute to her. The sheet of paper listed some symptoms and a brief paragraph on how the disease manifests itself and nothing on how to manage it. The prognosis was grim. At the bottom, was a n...This ...

Stones With Fair Colors: Back at it

http://stoneswithfaircolors.blogspot.com/2015/08/back-at-it.html

Wednesday, August 12, 2015. I never realized that missing a week on my blog is like missing a part of myself. I think we have bobbed back up to the surface of our somewhat stormy life and we are ready to find our new normal for a few weeks. SoI'm on the hunt to replace the GI and figure out what to do about Oncology. For now, we will see our local doc and do the upcoming biopsies at our local hospital but I feel like in some ways, we have outgrown that clinic. Before Spencer got home, we had finally fall...

Stones With Fair Colors: A Scary Story

http://stoneswithfaircolors.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-scary-story.html

Thursday, August 6, 2015. When I die and meet God, I am going to ask him one thing. I would love for him to explain why he gave me all the rare, never before seen problems in the world? We don't get your run of the mill trials. Tuesday, when we were contemplating a trip to Salt Lake, I had this uneasy feeling about my car. For one thing, the front tires are bald and second of all, there have been some odd problems with my tail lights. They go out all the time. In a second the pedal was completely to the ...

Come What May and Love It: 03/14/11

http://ldldhcliffnotes.blogspot.com/2011_03_14_archive.html

Come What May and Love It. Monday, March 14, 2011. Can't believe I am saying this. I am craving squash. I love going through the internet and finding recipes that I would like to try. I decided I want to keep them in the same places. So for my first one here it goes. I hate squash, or I thought I did. People would give me squash and I would turn it down. I hate squash cooked in the oven with a little butter and brown sugar. Yuck! One day I got some butternut squash in a. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Come What May and Love It. Friday, April 8, 2011. The hunt for Cinnamon Rolls. I have had homemade cinnamon rolls that were delicious. But I have never been able to make them. I would try and they would be dry or it would be too thick. There is a perfection to a cinnamon roll. Kinna crazy but some of the best cinnamon rolls in my town are sold at the school. Their cinnamon rolls are delicious! And tried it once and they were good but I decided to make some changes. Here is my version. 2 pkg dry yeast.

Come What May and Love It. Monday, January 30, 2012. Mod Podge picture frame. A few years ago when L was in a pageant, a friend suggested instead of getting her flowers that. Will die, make her a frame that has the pageant theme to it. This way she can keep it forever. This year D is in the same pageant. Her theme is Urban Jungle. I wanted to have a thick frame and do a sky line across the bottom but I could not find the right type of frame so I scrapped the skyline idea. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Inside Story: July 2013

http://insidestoryinteriors.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Thursday, July 11, 2013. Sorry for the latest absence. I've been working like a dog but lately, I've missed being creative so when the weekend comes, despite my work schedule, I try to fit in a few DIY's. I've been de-cluttering my house. In the process, I found some pieces I had collected a few years ago. I have lots of old windows, old doors, old cabinet doors and a bookshelf and the sweetest little table. I have been tackling them little by little. Okay, so here's how I did it. Finally, I wrote the wo...
