The Cannon Family at Stonewall Farm: December 2009

http://www.stonewallfarmlife.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

The Cannon Family at Stonewall Farm. We hope you enjoy this blog! Summer 2009, by Jonathan. Ready for the Holidays. Thursday, December 17, 2009. It's way past time! At 2 1/2, Machen is finally getting his first haircut. He was on a trip in Texas, and Daddy and Papa Jack took him in. He was very serious about the whole thing. Time to cut these curls! Where else but Texas do the hairstylists use the state flag as a pattern for their capes? Not so sure about this. The Keith Cannon Family. My four pigs did n...

The Cannon Family at Stonewall Farm: Winter Lambs

http://www.stonewallfarmlife.blogspot.com/2010/04/winter-lambs.html

The Cannon Family at Stonewall Farm. We hope you enjoy this blog! Tuesday, April 6, 2010. This winter our ewe had triplets. We ended up losing one lamb and the ewe, which was very hard on all of us, especially shepherd Jon. So through this winter we have been raising two lambs, which kept us pretty busy. Here they are one day old. Sweet little tiny things. Except that they grow up, and these two actually think they're dogs or something. They hang out with us in the greenhouse,. And in the flower beds.

The Cannon Family at Stonewall Farm. We hope you enjoy this blog! Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Guest post by Elizabeth Politano, who was recently subjected to the somewhat unpredictable goings-on at Stonewall Farm:. As Kathryn worked on her lovely skirt she listened to the sound of her little brother playing with his toy monkey. "OOH AHH! He exclaimed as he tossed it around the sewing nook. Unfortunately, the time drew close and Kathryn's skirt had to be left unfinished. The Keith Cannon Family.

The Cannon Family at Stonewall Farm: Machen's Many Faces

http://www.stonewallfarmlife.blogspot.com/2010/04/machens-many-faces.html

The Cannon Family at Stonewall Farm. We hope you enjoy this blog! Tuesday, April 6, 2010. There is no purpose to this post except to show you the many sides of Machen. He keeps us laughing. Even Jon and Lauren occasionally remark that they can't imagine life without him. We're ever thankful that God gave us this little distraction- He always anchors us in what is truly eternal. Machen and Rosie playing dressup. Watching the landscape. Machen spends a lot of time in that car seat. The Keith Cannon Family.

Saturday, January 23, 2010. Around the Farm, December 2009. This is the sight that greets us every morning when we open the door. Machen tosses some apples to the pigs. Molly's always ready for a rub. This is at the close of one our Sunday night evenings. Miss those days when we could be outside! Caleb's dog, Molly.

Beaverdam Creek Farm: December 2010

http://lingohomestead.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 23, 2010. It's been awhile since I've been able to post, but I hope to make it up to y'all. Several people have asked me to publish pictures from our house-raising. Until now, I haven't had the time or the internet. We had a lot of fun those three days. We ended them with a cookout on Wednesday night. We ate hamburgers and hotdogs and drank IBC root beer. Afterwards, we sat around a fire, toasting marshmallows, while Claire and Kyle played and sang some bluegrass for us. John has troub...

Beaverdam Creek Farm: Sheep Shearing

http://lingohomestead.blogspot.com/2012/03/sheep-shearing.html

Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Whenever I have spare time and it's sunny out, I've been working on shearing my sheep. It's not as easy as I imagined, and it takes a long time., but I am. Getting faster. I've finished 3 out of 5 sheep. I still have Mo and Laz to go. I hate to shear Mo because her woolliness is so cute, and I'm not really looking forward to doing Laz - somehow I don't think he will be as compliant as the girls. I am expecting lambs very soon! Are you going to spin the wool, Tricia Ann? I dont th...

I took over 400, but that's a few too many to share. ;). We had plenty of lovely photographers on site, all sporting their Nikons. This is one of my favorite pictures from the whole day. Daniel is such a good sport, always ready to give me a funny pose. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Timber Frame Raising - Part 2. There were lots of spectators. Even with th...

Monday, January 31, 2011. After much ado, trying to find an honest printer, dealing with vector software incompatibility, etc. - here are the house-raising shirts I designed. I had lots of helpful suggestions, and Caleb designed the beaver holding the hammer which adorns the front. Thank y'all! Thursday, January 27, 2011. Our Trip to the North Pole. I mean, Illinois. Last week, we took a road trip to Illinois for a wedding. On the way, we stopped in Indiana to visit our dear friends at Stonewall Farm.

Simple Stitches: Don't even have a title to describe these cray cray months

http://carolinessimplestitch.blogspot.com/2014/03/dont-even-have-title-to-describe-these.html

Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Don't even have a title to describe these cray cray months. Well I'll jump right to the exciting part. My brother got engaged! He popped the question on New Years Eve. The phone call was the best phone call I've ever heard. They're a pretty cute couple if I do say so myself. It's all happened very quickly. It feels like just a few days have gone by. But it's really been a few months. Just two weeks from this Saturday until the wedding! Delaney and Erin Claire. I kinda like her.

Simple Stitches: April 2013

http://carolinessimplestitch.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Saturday, April 27, 2013. Last Sunday we had a going-away party for my brother. And let me just say, I don't know what we'd do without our church family. We first had a delicious dinner. These two goofy girls eating. After dinner, we all gathered around in a huge circle and played the hat game. Mr. Lovett organized everything. We have some gorgeous ladies in our church :). After the game, there were quite a few people who gave Chris advice, encouragement, and told stories. Saturday, April 20, 2013. She l...
