Justin's Fishing Blog: June 2012
http://justinsfishing.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 16, 2012. The vista on this peak was awesome. This peak divides the north and south slopes of the Uintahs, and at the top I could see all the way to Flaming Gorge. After hiking to the great divide I dropped back down into walkup lake which sits at 11,114 elevation. I found this lake last year and it has been a real fun lake to fish for brook trout. The fishing is real fast with literally a fish on every cast, but catching small brookies every cast is only fun for so long. Utah on the fly.

Justin's Fishing Blog: April 2011
http://justinsfishing.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 9, 2011. On March 31st-April 1st Jarron. Alex and I took a two day trip on the Green. The weather was nice and warm; however the wind blew hard. It was pretty tough fishing that first day on the river but we did manage a few fish to the boat. All of the fish caught on Thursday were underneath using wolley. Buggers, zebra midges, and a black RS-2. The wind was so horrible by the time we got off the river that we wussed. Out on our "camping trip" and ended up staying the night at Flaming.

Monday, April 30, 2012. Jace with his fish. Most of the fish I caught were on a grey AP emerger. Jace with the first catch of the evening. When we got to the Green this day, I went straight to a hole I always fish and next thing I knew Jace was trying to fish in my spot I kicked him out and he went down river a bit and his first cast into his new spot produced a nice brown. He caught it with a copper spinner with a white body. Zack with a rainbow that he reeled in. Zack with another rainbow.

Justin's Fishing Blog: September 2010
http://justinsfishing.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 5, 2010. Since July was wet here in Utah, we got as much high mountain fishing in as we could in Aug. Below was fishing Pole Creek lake for stocked rainbows. We fished the inlet and caught a bunch on a tan foam ant pattern. At camp this huge chipmunk kept getting into our food, so we pulled out the old BB. Gun and put an end to that problem. We followed the creek out of pole creek about 3/4 of a mile and fished this meadow area for little cutts. After catching a bunch of little cutts.

Justin's Fishing Blog: IDAHO Fall Trip
http://justinsfishing.blogspot.com/2012/10/idaho-fall-trip.html
Friday, October 19, 2012. In the picture below you can see all of the fish stacked up, which is how it looked throughout this hole. Although we did not catch any real pigs in the creek, it definitely made up for the lake. After fishing the creek most of the afternoon we headed back to the lake to see if it would redeem itself. Crusing around in the boat I could see a couple of nice fish and we even caught a few bigger fish, but not private lake sized fish. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friday, October 15, 2010. Before I go on with my blog, I would do a huge injustice to "the man" Denny Rickards, if I did not mention his name. He is a fly fishing genius when it comes to fishing still waters and just about all of the fish caught in lakes were on his flies. Oh he's decent, only 20 inches or so, but not Guild big". The fish above is probably the fattest fish that I have caught in my life. He was 23 inches long. This fish below that Jarron caught is a true football! On our way to the Hams j...

Justin's Fishing Blog: Fall Trip
http://justinsfishing.blogspot.com/2013/11/fall-trip.html
Sunday, November 3, 2013. First, I wanted to post this fish Jarron caught a few weeks before our big fall trip up in his home waters. This fish was 26-27 inches long and was caught on a size 18 orange scud. Next we headed over into Utah and across the border into Idaho. We got to our next destination in the dark, which made finding a camping spot a bit difficult. After some sketchy 4 wheeling in the motor home we found a spot to call home for the next 2 days. Todd in his "Pantoon" in the morning fog.

Wednesday, October 19, 2011. This years fall trip took us up into Idaho and Montana to fish at 3 different locations. We drove to Rigby, Idaho Tuesday arriving late at night and crashed at Jarrons In-Laws house for the night. The next morning we got up bright and early and drove another hour and a half to Island Park to fish at Henry's Lake for the next two days. This trip also produced a few nice Brookies! For brook trout these are nice fish. Definitely the biggest I have caught to date. The second day ...

Justin's Fishing Blog: September Trips
http://justinsfishing.blogspot.com/2012/09/september-trips.html
Sunday, September 23, 2012. Over Labor day weekend, the Carter family had their annual camping trip up by Flamming Gorge. While we were up that way, we also did our annual "Bro's no Ho's" float down the Green. Trent chucked a brown trout rapala all day and caught a lot of fish. One of his last fish was the nice fat rainbow in the picture below. Todd caught a couple of fish underneath using a black PT nymph. His last fish of the day took him for a ride and was a nice healthy brown in the pic below. As the...
