Tina's 3D Modelling Blog. Sunday, 26 October 2008. Starting my Project- April. The next stage was to add a head to the dragon. I used a sphere for this, although I was not happy to leave it like this. Due to this I then edited it to make it flatter and rotated it before putting it in place. Once I completed one leg I duplicated it and re-arranged the sections on the other side of the body. I now need to continue with this by adding the dragon's wings, a face and by creating the figure of St George. I am ...

Welcome To My Uni Blog: Ident 2
http://leesuniblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/ident-2_26.html
Welcome To My Uni Blog. Sunday, 26 April 2009. Now to start with my 2nd Ident, this one is the scene were the potato will become a pile of mashed potato on the floor. The first idea was to have a giant masher come down and fall onto it but then i thought for a more funnier idea i decided to go with a giant foot coming down and squashing it instead. The next step was to begin making the structure of the leg that would stand on the potato, to do this i created a large cylinder, and 2 spheres. Then usin...

Steven's 3D Module Project: October 2008

Steven's 3D Module Project. Sunday, 19 October 2008. Tree - Work In Progress. The second object to be used for my October image is nearly complete, and I've been working quite hard on this for the last couple of weeks. Since October is the start of Autumn, I have been working on an Autumn tree, which will be my main focus for said image. After applying meshsmooth, I then extruded some roots from where the original box was, and then applied meshsmooth again. The new branches, as well as the leaves, were c...

Tina's 3D Modelling Blog: January 2009

Tina's 3D Modelling Blog. Thursday, 29 January 2009. Week 1- My First 3D Animation. Today is the first time I have attempted to create an animation in 3Ds Max, and with this in mind feel I have managed to complete the tasks quite well. To begin with I just added key frames along the timeline and adjusted the position of the content at these points. At first I did occasionally forget to click on the key button, but after some practice I started to remember this each time. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

3DS Max with Dan: February 2009

3DS Max with Dan. 3D Modelling and Animation Module Blog. 3DS Max Tutorials.net. Friday, 13 February 2009. Animating through the Morpher Modifier. Animating can be really fun as it allows your imagination to come to life. virtually anyway. The Morpher modifier is a really good tool that allows you to create some whacky effects, but is also a really good way to animate where a modification is required to your mesh. To finish and ensure that Auto Key is set. Now, back on the Morpher attributes, find the.

Welcome To My Uni Blog. Friday, 30 January 2009. Image Research and Moodboards. Today I have been thinking about a few ideas of what to do for my animated Idents, ive been searching the internet to find different idents that are currently around to see how good they really are and if it can motivate me to think of a great idea. So going along with the potatoe idea I have thought of making 3 idents using a potatoe in funny different situations. I have had a few ideas for what I want to do for Dave image o...

Jeremy's 3D Mod Blog. Blog for my 3D Modelling and Animation module. This should be updated at least once a week! Feel free to comment on my work and let me know what you think! Thursday, 7 May 2009. My first ident for the discovery channel is looking at DNA. The scene starts with a single strand of DNA turning, moves onto vertical strands of DNA and finally ending with travelling through a strand of DNA. The three rendered scenes were imported into Adobe Premiere Pro and linked together with a cross dis...

Tina's 3D Modelling Blog: Week 10-Adapting ident 2 part 3
http://tam3dmodellingandanimation.blogspot.com/2009/04/week-10-adapting-ident-2-part-3.html
Tina's 3D Modelling Blog. Saturday, 25 April 2009. Week 10-Adapting ident 2 part 3. Currently I felt ident 2 part 3 worked reasonably well, however the walk sequence was too fast. So to start I rescaled the timeline from 90 frames length to 105 to prevent this. Next I went on to create the tug of the string as this would add realism to the balloon making the character float as it suggested the bear had a mass. To do this I cloned a copy of the balloon string and edited it using the soft selection tool.

3DS Max with Dan: Animating on a Path
http://dan-3dsmax.blogspot.com/2009/02/animating-on-path.html
3DS Max with Dan. 3D Modelling and Animation Module Blog. 3DS Max Tutorials.net. Friday, 6 February 2009. Animating on a Path. Another method of animation is by using paths. Paths are a brilliant way to move characters and objects around the screen without worrying too much of what it will look like as you can draw a path that your object will follow and perfect it until you are happy before you even get your object animating around it.
