Nothing to see here, move along. This blog is dedicated to nothing in particular. Thursday, July 09, 2015. Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up Salt. I recently read a post on the Home on the Range. Blog, that I follow, and Brigid mentioned Jane's Krazy Mixed-Up Salt. I'd not heard of it before and she mentioned how much her late brother put it on everything, so I bought a 2-pack of 'em to try out and keep in the spice/seasonings cabinet. Brigid is also the author of ' The Book of Barkley. View my complete profile.

Paracord Lanyard Project
http://stormdraneslanyard.blogspot.com/2007/02/this-is-tutorial-on-variation-of-one-of.html
Thursday, February 15, 2007. This is a tutorial on a variation of one of the lanyards I've learned to make. It will allow you to carry 10 feet of paracord. With you, using a couple of decorative knots for the lanyard, and having a loop on one end and a swivel clip, snap hook, keyring, carabiner, whatever you choose to use on the other end. You can vary the length and use more or less cord if desired. And a Solomon bar. And I made you. June 5, 2009 at 10:33 PM. Great tutorial. Thanks a lot! Thanks for sha...

Nothing to see here, move along. This blog is dedicated to nothing in particular. Sunday, August 09, 2015. Itsy bitsy spiders, or not. Our front porch spider. Is still doing its thing, and there's an even larger one several feet away with a web stretching down from the tree out front down to the hedges, but I couldn't(ain't gonna try) get close enough to get a good pic of the other bugger. I shared a photo of the spider on reddit, spiders subreddit, and was told it may be of the species,. The Fenix E15 h...

Nothing to see here, move along. This blog is dedicated to nothing in particular. Saturday, July 04, 2015. Some new selections from the frozen foods aisle. Ma and Pa left to drive down and see one of my sisters in Orlando, with her having a baby last night, a new nephew added to the family. That leaves me home alone for the duration of their visit to the over-crowded land of tourists and muggy sweaty heat and humidity and sunshine. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://stormdranesblog.blogspot.com/2015/07/airing-out-my-tents.html
Nothing to see here, move along. This blog is dedicated to nothing in particular. Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Airing out my tents. It's been a long time since I've used my tents. With no camping trips in recent memory. I put both up to see if they were still useable. No rips or tears and they went up alright. The small blue dome tent is 25 years old, bought in either 1989 or '90, and one of the fiberglass rod sections is cracked, but maybe some strategic duck tape. It rained hard last night, which did a good...

Paracord Lanyard Project
http://stormdraneslanyard.blogspot.com/2007/02/blog-post_8690.html
Thursday, February 15, 2007. Find the center of the length of cord and attach the twist tie or clothespin. Now you'll tie a lanyard knot keeping the twist tie in the center of a 2 inch long loop above the knot. Note* You can skip the lanyard knot if it seems too difficult and instead use the twist tie to tie off a 2 or 3 inch long loop at the center of the length of cord. The finished lanyard will have a slightly longer loop if you skip the lanyard knot. Ase of the clip/hook/keyring. You may find many ot...

Paracord Lanyard Project
http://stormdraneslanyard.blogspot.com/2007/02/blog-post_1897.html
Thursday, February 15, 2007. Now for finishing up. Pull the remaining cords to tighten up the last knot and closely trim off one side of the excess cord. And another finishing option is to tuck the ends into/under the last couple of knots. You can use a pair of hemostats to pull the cord ends(one at a time as it's a tight fit) up under the knots, then trim any excess and tuck to hide the cord ends. When you're done, you can loop the end onto a keychain, knife, multi-tool, flashlight, etc. There are sever...
