Friday, July 26, 2013. Zoo and nature center. We have been loving the 70-something degree weather and sun the past few days! It's such a great break from the extreme heat we've had. We went to the zoo yesterday, and I took the kids to the nature center in Sewickley. I was really there to check out places for a photo shoot, but the kids liked running the mowed paths in the meadow and exploring the outdoor classroom. This sea lion loved attention! Monday, April 13, 2015. Riding without training wheels! Liam learned very quickly how to ride his bike without training wheels! He is so proud of himself and is a very confident rider now. Tuesday, November 12, 2013. We woke up to our first snow of the year. Liam had his clothes and snow pants on before 8:30. He was so excited for snow! We only had about an inch or so, but it was enough to entertain the kids for a while. Here they are playing in the snow:. Friday, November 8, 2013. Wednesday, January 15, 2014. The weather on Monday and Tuesday was a great change from last week's negative temperatures. I spent 2 hours Monday raking our front yard's massive amount of leaves while the kids played with bikes and in the back yard. Friday, February 20, 2015. Birthday girl at the mall. Avery's Frozen birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Fun at Liam's school's open house. Saturday, March 8, 2014. We had a lot of fun at Disney on Ice on Thursday! The show was a celebration of 100 years of Disney, and included a lot of the kids' favorite characters from Toy Story, the Incredibles, Mulan, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Nemo, and more. They loved it! Liam got cotton candy and it came with a Mickey ears crown. Most of the show didn't photograph well on Bo's phone, but this lighted segment of It's a Small World showed up well. Monday, July 7, 2014. The beach over july 4th weekend. Their room - trouble! Emma and Liam with their caterpillar and bed of leaves they made for it. July 4th cookout and games. July 5th parade in the neighborhood. A nice night to eat on the patio of the neighborhood restaurant. As we finished eating, the guys came in from golfing their last hole and put the kids on the carts. We took the neighborhood shuttle into Bethany on July 5th for fireworks. Monday, February 10, 2014. Yesterday, we took the kids sledding at a nearby school. It has a lot of fun hills! Avery refused to walk in the snow, but as long as we carried her around, she was pretty happy. She really liked sledding by the end! Liam was thrilled, and would whip by us on the hills. Avery smiled and closed her eyes like this all down the hill. Avery had her birthday party on Saturday. She chose a Sofia the First theme, a cute little princess show on Disney Jr. We had a lot of fun!
