Hello and Geisha Pictures! - Love Kimono
http://lovekimono.livejournal.com/2148.html
Hello and Geisha Pictures! At July 29th, 2010 (07:46 pm). I'm Stratamander and I come bearing Geisha pictures that I took back in 2006 when I lived in Japan. Me and my buddy, our dearest mod. Were taking a tour of southwestern Japan and part of that involved hitting up Nara and Kyoto because what kimono loving person would pass up on the opportunity to stalk some Geisha and Maikos? I tease of course. Everyone is welcome: all ethnicities, countries, ages, sizes, kimono styles, and levels of interest. ...

Liberty Ships - It Is Time For History
http://history-time.livejournal.com/24794.html
It Is Time For History. Dec 2nd, 2010 at 2:25 PM. It’s remarkable what a nation can do when it puts its mind to something. The story of the 2,710 Liberty Ships built by American shipyards during World War II is one of the most remarkable examples of industrial production in the history of awesome. Widely criticized, ugly, and using obsolete technology, they are an excellent example of why the allies won a war as big and challenging as WWII as quickly as they did. However, they ultimately insisted on an o...

It Is Time For History. Something a little different. Jul 24th, 2010 at 10:25 PM. It's sorta-like a Kate Beaton comic, done live-action, but not as good as her comics. 8 comments Leave a comment. Gackt does Kimono and a Hollywood movie too. - Love Kimono

Gackt does Kimono and a Hollywood movie too. At September 14th, 2010 (06:35 pm). So for those of you who aren't into J-rock or Gackt I thought I would share something I found over at. Blog The Kimono Lady. It seems that Gackt, in collaboration with a company called Nemuri, has released a line of Summer Kimono/Yukata. You can find them here. Furisode: What Trend Are You? - Love Kimono
http://lovekimono.livejournal.com/3798.html
Furisode: What Trend Are You? At September 9th, 2010 (08:13 pm). Kimono Hearts Portal, part of a kimono company that specializes in furisode, the long-sleeved kimono for young unmarried women, has some beautiful ones to look at. They also have an interesting "styling" page, where they talk about different ways to bring trends into kimono. Which one are you? I like the Gothic look best, but the Retro one is fun too.
