Herring, oats and bacon fat | The Veg Box Diaries

The Veg Box Diaries. Gastropunk and Math Chick’s adventures with an organic veg box. Herring, oats and bacon fat. October 26, 2007. I just wanted to share the sleek, metallic beauty of these two herrings with you. I only get to indulge my plebian passion for these oily little critters when Maths Chick has vacated the building. The pungent smell of Clupea Maxima under a fierce grill is enough to make her dainty nostrils flare with disgust. 2 Responses to “Herring, oats and bacon fat”. The meat box cometh.

Pak Choi, Mussels and Rice | The Veg Box Diaries
https://vegboxdiary.wordpress.com/2007/10/30/pak-choi-mussels-and-rice
The Veg Box Diaries. Gastropunk and Math Chick’s adventures with an organic veg box. Pak Choi, Mussels and Rice. October 30, 2007. I was surprised last night to discover a plump and chilly caterpillar curled up on a pak choi leaf, surrounded by a number of large, healthy-looking droppings. Its body-to-poo-size ratio was really impressive. It had eaten its way through almost an entire pak choi before a spell in the fridge had cast it into Cryonic suspension. Pak Choi, Mussels and Rice. Prepare the mussels...

Raindrops and Roses: November 2007
http://zannie-raindropsandroses.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
The ponderings and wanderings of my mind. Tuesday, 27 November 2007. Why is it that bad things always seems to happen all at once? Is it because the first bad thing makes you feel a bit down, so that things that follow seem worse than they are? Or does bad luck really just land on you for a few days? And had now met up with his human companions who were going to escort him home for a well earned nap! Saturday, 17 November 2007. Where is November going? So Princesse, you want to know about the contents of...

The ponderings and wanderings of my mind. Thursday, 10 January 2008. Having had a fantastic Christmas and New Year (although ended up working somewhat more than planned, but hey, that's self-employment for you! It's now back to the grindstone. Lata and I are hoping that 2008 is the year for us - business plans are going full steam ahead, so hopefully within a few months we'll have our online shop up and running! Went back to my pole dancing class last night, such fun! I seem to spend so much time on the ...

Raindrops and Roses: Platinum Paws
http://zannie-raindropsandroses.blogspot.com/2008/03/platinum-paws.html
The ponderings and wanderings of my mind. Friday, 21 March 2008. I'm ridiculously, insanely busy at the moment so free time has been spent with Venzo or sleeping! As a result, my poor wee blog has suffered. Be assured though people, I'm still alive! Anyway, while I'm here explaining myself I may as well plug the reason I'm so busy. Pet lovers, get shopping and spread the word! Good luck with this! 26 March 2008 at 10:38. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Matters of the Heart. View my complete profile.

Bilingual babies and toddlers don’t talk | Englishman in Strasbourg

Embracing liberty, equality and going on strike. Bilingual babies and toddlers don’t talk. May 8, 2008 64 Comments. One thing we never really considered when we moved to France was how our children would cope with growing up in a bilingual environment. With hardly a sentence of French between us, let alone any first hand experience of bilingualism, we just assumed that their language skills would develop as normal – but in two languages. Website, there is a phase that bilingual children go through:.

Raindrops and Roses: October 2007
http://zannie-raindropsandroses.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
The ponderings and wanderings of my mind. Wednesday, 31 October 2007. I got a skirt (see previous blog if confused)! It's not beautiful but will do. It's from the petite section in Next if any of the shorties among us are interested(I ignored the "For Women Under 5ft3" sign). The graduation is looming ever closer and.I have a massive spot on my chin. Pictures will be fun! Ah well, there's worse things in life than "pimple of the chin". What's my life coming to? I don't actually know, and I like that fact!

Raindrops and Roses: Happy December!
http://zannie-raindropsandroses.blogspot.com/2007/12/happy-december.html
The ponderings and wanderings of my mind. Saturday, 1 December 2007. It's Saturday 1st December, 4.15pm, icy rain is hitting the window and it's already dark outside. Winter and I have a love/hate relationship. Bad things about winter:. Being freezing 24/7. I think I must infact be a cold blooded reptile (although I don't have scales yet), I operate on a completely different temperature scale to the rest of the world! I personally have no idea, what I do know though is that I hate wintery weather. Snuggl...

The meat box cometh | The Veg Box Diaries
https://vegboxdiary.wordpress.com/2007/10/25/the-meat-box-cometh
The Veg Box Diaries. Gastropunk and Math Chick’s adventures with an organic veg box. The meat box cometh. October 25, 2007. We received our first Riverford meat box delivery on Saturday. I’d spent the morning hovering in the frontroom, gazing down the garden path like a little kid waiting for the birthday post to arrive. We were both totally stoked (Ozspeak for jolly glad) when it arrived, and danced a little caper around the kitchen. A whole organic chicken. What's in the box? October 25, 2007 at 8:51 pm.

The Veg Box Diaries. Gastropunk and Math Chick’s adventures with an organic veg box. November 3, 2007. We celebrated Hallowe’en this year with a blood-red bowl of spicy beetroot soup. The really scary bit happened the following day when it had worked its way through our systems…. Gastropunk’s Beetroot Soup. Ingredients: beetroot, pumpkin or squash, carrots, garlic, ginger, Panch Poran (an Indian mixture of five whole spices and seeds), stock (beef or vegetable), lemon, oil and butter, seasoning. 4 Once t...
