The Blog from Kevin Leighton Photography. You Are About To Be Redirected To The Blog Page At The. Kevin Leighton Photography website. Tuesday, 18 January 2011. Sweet Shot Tuesday 1801 - Clevedon Pier. This image of Clevedon Pier shows the flags at full stretch and maybe half a dozen people braving the wind to take a stroll out along its length. I liked the idea of having a little colour in an otherwise grey picture which would help to portray the greyness of the day. To achieve this I used GIMP. To selec...

Odd Butternut Squash and Other Updates. July 20, 2015. July 20, 2015. Been up to the plot every other day over the last fortnight (unless it has been raining), here is a quick update:. Renetted the dwarf kale. Also removed some of the old lower leaves. Got a battery strimmer for my birthday which has made a massive difference with doing the paths:. Picked runner beans for dinner, and kale:. Picked courgette and spinach:. There is a baby butternut squash, at least I think it is. Seems an odd shape? Plus a...

Rickety Bench and a Little Digging. June 5, 2015. June 5, 2015. Its official, I need a new bench. It has been a bit wobbly for ages – one of the legs is just propped up. But the seat is now starting to rot through as I found out today! Just hope I can pick up one cheaply as I really need a bench; its only a matter of time before I end up in a heap on the floor. Some seedlings are starting to come through, but no progress with the chard/spinach – just a couple of weeds. Pretty Marigolds →. Join 350 other ...

June 10, 2015. A few photo from my last couple of trips. Popped in yeterday to do the watering. The marigolds and dwarf curly kale are doing well:. The tomato plants are doing well too, have another four to plant out:. Did a spot of clearing, still needs digging but the worst of the weeds are gone:. Will be good when some of the small plants at home are big enough to go out! Rickety Bench and a Little Digging. Little Helper’s Plot and Other Plantings →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Starting to Sow Seeds on the Plot Again | traceythetransitioner

Starting to Sow Seeds on the Plot Again. May 30, 2015. May 30, 2015. Went to the plot with my little ‘helper’ who was excited about going to sow seeds and grow vegetables. In reality he helped for 30 seconds and got distracted by other things, but it is nice he liks the allotment. Netted three areas, two of which I sowed seeds in. At least the netting will stop him tramping the area, keep off pigeons, and vaguely keep off the badgers. Sowed pak choi, turnip, spinnach, and chard:. The Marigolds are Out.
