This Is Very Weird: Back to it!
http://thisisveryweird.blogspot.com/2008/10/back-to-it.html
This Is Very Weird. A blog about learning to dance. Monday, 20 October 2008. Today I went to new dance class. There is a dance club in town that I walk past quite often. I have frequently thought about going there, but last time I was doing so much, I never got round to checking it out. I haven't danced since I took my bronze medals in March. No particular reason, just one thing after another seemed to happen, and then I never got into it. We started with the samba. I hate. There is no intermediate class...

Julia Williams attempts to put one foot in front of the other as research for her latest book. Friday, 9 January 2009. Nobody puts Baby in a Corner. I somehow managed to miss. When it came out. What can I say? When I was researching. Though, I bought a whole load of dance movies,. Grease, Fame, Strictly Ballroom. Now was surely the time to make up for this gap in my film education. To my husband with the words,. I owe it all to you,. Time of my Li. Fe is pure tack, I think I agree. Loving friend along in...

Strictlycomedancingnot: It's the Final Countdown...
http://strictlycomedancingnot.blogspot.com/2008/12/its-final-countdown.html
Julia Williams attempts to put one foot in front of the other as research for her latest book. Sunday, 21 December 2008. It's the Final Countdown. Or rather it was. Anyway. Onwards and upwards as they say. I have to confess that despite thinking I had lost total interest in this year's competition since Austin went out, I thoroughly enjoyed last night's show. Rachel's foxtrot was pretty flawless. Did it deserve forty points? But I just loved his style. So I think the judges were a bit harsh myself. Movin...

Strictlycomedancingnot: February 2008
http://strictlycomedancingnot.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Julia Williams attempts to put one foot in front of the other as research for her latest book. Wednesday, 27 February 2008. On Monday it was my husband's birthday. I had intended to buy him and me a dancing lesson, but Izobela was away last week and rather inefficiently I hadn't got round to booking one with her before she went. You Really Got Me. I am pleased to report, we didn't fall over, I did feel like I'd got the hang of snake hips (in vino muchos exagiteras me thinks) and it was ever so much fun.

Strictlycomedancingnot: October 2008
http://strictlycomedancingnot.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Julia Williams attempts to put one foot in front of the other as research for her latest book. Sunday, 26 October 2008. Last night watching Strictly Come Dancing was a hugely educational experience. I learnt that Paso Doble (which is a dance I've managed to miss seeing before somehow) is about bull fighting and to dance the Viennese Waltz properly you apparently need freckles. Cherie and James had their worst score, because Cherie unfortunately tripped at the beginning and was so put off she forgot to ac...

Strictlycomedancingnot: March 2008
http://strictlycomedancingnot.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Julia Williams attempts to put one foot in front of the other as research for her latest book. Tuesday, 25 March 2008. Body Talk: the interactive edition. So what you have instead, is Bodytalk: the Interactive Version. I've just tried and realised that this video suffers from a surfeit of Westlife and a dearth of dancing, but c'est la vie. Oh and many thanks to Loulabelle for putting me onto both. Posted by Jane Henry. Thursday, 20 March 2008. Or this, which would have made me realise the error of my ways.

Strictlycomedancingnot: May 2008
http://strictlycomedancingnot.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Julia Williams attempts to put one foot in front of the other as research for her latest book. Thursday, 1 May 2008. When I was eighteen my parents had their silver wedding anniversary. After a sit down dinner, my parents and their peers took to the floor to do a waltz. I remember watching my dad gliding my mum around the room in awe. I had had no idea they could do that, and was dead envious. But when I was growing up. So hats off to. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? As well as watching a lot of videos on ...
