Craft actually: Food and Drink
http://www.craftactually.org/craft_actually/food_and_drink
July 27, 2012. I'm feeling very Olympic today. My favourite line from the movie Cool Runnings sums up the atmostphere in London today perfectly. Yesterday at work we had a charity cake bake competition with an Olympic theme. Our team won with our fabulous (if I do say so myself) Olympic Village. The Aquatics Centre - some kind of strange medly relay event by the looks of it! Athletics at the Olympic stadium . Weighlifting at the ExCeL centre. Gymnastics at North Greenwich Arena. Provence - the food.

Ginger Lucy: August 2008
http://gingerlucy.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Knitting, baking, larking about in the city and all sorts of other antics. Sunday, 31 August 2008. Dear god, I'm a sorry excuse for a blogger, aren't I? Somehow the summer hasn't been conducive to blogging Chez. Ginger - a combination of weddings (planning for my own and going to others), parties (again, both at home and elsewhere), a funeral (of which more later), serious amounts of exercise (well, serious for me, but it is working! The first pair to be finished were some that were on the needles for so...

Ginger Lucy: Baba Marta
http://gingerlucy.blogspot.com/2009/03/baba-marta.html
Knitting, baking, larking about in the city and all sorts of other antics. Monday, 2 March 2009. Last week a colleague asked me, out of the blue, "How long does it take for your wool to arrive? I blinked in slight confusion. To which particular wool of the many stash enhancement packages that arrive at my desk, er, several times a week, could she be referring? For wool, beads and other supplies, then spent an enjoyable lunch hour creating the ornaments. Other kinds of tassles and pom-poms are also fine&#...

Ginger Lucy: Knitting Update
http://gingerlucy.blogspot.com/2008/06/knitting-update.html
Knitting, baking, larking about in the city and all sorts of other antics. Friday, 27 June 2008. It's been absolutely ages since I mentioned any knitting on here, which is shameful given "knitting" is in big orange letters at the top of the page. But never fear, I have actually been knitting, just, er, not telling you about it. Sorry. Let's have a round-up of my recent projects then! Giant Green Clapotis - FO. Before I went to Ecuador I announced. That the Giant Green Clapotis. The photo session happened...

Ginger Lucy: Battleship Potemkin
http://gingerlucy.blogspot.com/2009/02/battleship-potemkin.html
Knitting, baking, larking about in the city and all sorts of other antics. Tuesday, 17 February 2009. It all started so well, at Potemkin. A Russian restaurant in Clerkenwell, to celebrate a friend's birthday. The promise of 108 different types of vodka was alluring, and indeed proved to be true:. Does that vodka menu look a bit odd to you? We were told that all their prices had gone up (in a recession? With a VAT cut? Possibly a sign of things to come. Take half an hour to come and take our order;.

Ginger Lucy: Play Miski for me
http://gingerlucy.blogspot.com/2008/07/play-miski-for-me.html
Knitting, baking, larking about in the city and all sorts of other antics. Monday, 7 July 2008. Play Miski for me. I promised last week I'd be more regular with my knitting updates - just think of it as the knitblogging equivalent of eating lots of prunes. I've been motoring along and making sure I knit every day, although I've also been working on a big non-fibre crafty project, which will be unveiled to you at the end of the week. Maybe steam rather than soaking? The scarf I'm doing is Luscious Lace.

Ginger Lucy: Proud to be...
http://gingerlucy.blogspot.com/2009/03/proud-to-be.html
Knitting, baking, larking about in the city and all sorts of other antics. Tuesday, 10 March 2009. At the very end of February I had a great weekend "representing", one way or the other. On the Saturday I met with a group of UK-based members of the Lazy, Stupid and Godless. Versus those who consider the judicious use of solid and venerable Anglo-Saxon words to be an augmentation of the vocabulary. And why the fuck not? You know which side I was on, of course. We agreed to pander to the delicate sensi...

Provence - the food - Craft actually
http://www.craftactually.org/craft_actually/2012/07/provence-the-food.html
Laquo; Best running week by miles. I'm feeling very Olympic today ». July 27, 2012. Provence - the food. Our summer holiday, and my 40th birthday celebrations were held in a small town in Provence. Cotignac is a charming little town in the middle of wine country and about an hours drive from the coast. Apart from time spent in the swimming pool, the holiday centred around food and the occasional glass of wine. Pastries in Salernes - the markets were a little disappointing but the pastries made up for it.

Laquo; I'm feeling very Olympic today. Happy Christmas ». August 23, 2012. I am still here. Plodding away. . I dont think summer is meant to be ploddy but it feels a little that way at the moment. It might be the enormous amount of really slow running Im doing. Im blogging about that intermittently over here at Miss Tracky Dacks. Honestly - I can hardly keep up with one blog so Im not sure why I thought starting another was a good idea. I must be an optimist! Anyhoo. Im still here. Plodding away. My blog...
