Snapshots between Raindrops: December 2010
http://snapshotsbetweenraindrops.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 31, 2010. I suppose this might be the obligatory post that I'm supposed to write after the new year but I suck at those kinds of posts so instead, I shall flog myself. That being said, I shall finish with my self flogging here. WHAT HAPPENED THIS YEAR:. WHAT I PLAN TO DO:. 2 MADE BY HAND AND CREATION. Once again, busy busy busy! WHAT I PLAN TO DO:. Or do we THINK we need this item. What is the price? Can we make it ourselves? Can we survive with OUT this item? Because they are children?

Geek Knitter: An Open Letter
http://geekknitter.blogspot.com/2010/01/open-letter.html
A long ramble, looking at life through yarn-covered glasses. Friday, January 22, 2010. Dear Insecure Voice In My Head,. Why are you such a nag? What, exactly, is your problem? Why must you plague me so? Tell me true, what’s not to love? The gull lace pattern? Certainly not the buttons, or the charming model. In short, Insecure Voice In My Head, please observe this delighted smile…. And vacate the premises. My head is quite noisy enough without having to listen to you wring your hands. Oh I just love it.

A long ramble, looking at life through yarn-covered glasses. Thursday, February 25, 2010. Questions I Cannot Ask. I am a gatherer by nature; a nester, I suppose. I like to have things where I can reach them, and I line my particular nests accordingly. That means that my bedside table looks like this:. There’s a wide assortment there, everything from fantasy to science fiction to mystery to multi-generational tales of families and the things they go through. Which leaves my bookshelves looking like this:.

Mama Kat Diapers: My Thoughts on Newborn Diaper Absorbency
http://mamakatdiapers.blogspot.com/2011/11/my-thoughts-on-newborn-diaper.html
Monday, November 21, 2011. My Thoughts on Newborn Diaper Absorbency. One of the most common questions people have is how many layers to use in their newborn diapers and inserts. Having only one child; who was only cloth diapered part-time as a newborn, I am certainly not an expert, but I have done a few “experiments” to help offer some guidelines for newborn absorbency. To test the absorbency, I laid the prefold/insert in a dish and poured a pre-measured amount of water on it. Then, I lifted the inse...

Friday, June 10, 2011. How Does Your Garden Grow? Since I haven't been blogging regularly, it would help to explain why. I, personally, have been gardening for ohhhh. 10 years or so? Hopefully in a few years, we will have all seeds saved and be advanced enough to have to spend virtually NOTHING to start our garden! We make our own compost and this year we were able to use our OWN mulch on 1/4th of the garden for weed control! Is that a picnic table? So many have asked what we have planted? 2- Four Eva Pu...

Sunday, May 22, 2011. My Body, My Hair, My Mystery. I was chatting with a friend. Last week and she inquired as to how I was doing and that she was worried about me. I don't think a lot of you know but last February my hair started to fall out in bald patches. Yeah, sounds fun right? And most of you DO know that I'm a nurse, with a brain that doesn't stop until I find some kind of logical and reasonable answer to medical mysteries :). I'm a woman and I didn't know a lot of that! SO here we go. I had my T...

Snapshots between Raindrops: Screw the Life Bombs
http://snapshotsbetweenraindrops.blogspot.com/2011/04/screw-life-bombs.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Screw the Life Bombs. Yep, Screw all the life bombs I've had recently. I was reading my blogs on my blogroll today and I read Anniegirl1138's post about Dating a Widower. Which led me to this gentlemen's blog and how he is collecting stories about dating a widower. Then I read one of my post from all the way back in January of 2008. Blessed Twice. Here's a refresher if you missed it. So I've learned something else lately. 1 If a man loves me, and not my children, then I can't l...
