Nourishing Gardens

Our plans and developments for a large heirloom vegetable garden. We are learning the best ways to nourish it and hopefully receive lots of nourishment from it! We live in Virginia in zone 7 and are using bits and pieces from several methods, including square foot gardening and lasagna gardening. Monday, June 27, 2011. Did I mention that we moved to a brand new spot and hubby wanted a "traditional row garden"? I *really* prefer my square foot/ lasagna bed garden - so much easier! Wednesday, April 13, 2011.

Gardening Tips: December 2008

http://lifeseedco.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 4, 2008. Decorative yet functional fencing. One way you can make your garden asthetically pleasing, yet functional is to add a decorative fence then line the fence with a subtle small wiring. What people will see most is the decorative fence while the functional fence will keep your garden safe from unwanted visitors. To add to it be asthetically pleasing you add some nice small to medium perennial shrubs in front of the decorative fence. Labels: asthetically pleasing garden.

Gardening Tips: Yorktown - The Battlefield Pictures

http://lifeseedco.blogspot.com/2009/06/yorktown-battlefield-pictures.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Yorktown - The Battlefield Pictures. Below are some of the pictures I took while we were on the famous Battlefield of Yorktown. The Battlefield that made us free. Replica American Siege Guns. At Yorktown they have replicated the old siege lines from the first line at a mile or so away from the British line all the way to the point blank 1/4 or 1/2 mile line. The famous Redoupt 9. American soldiers stormed this redoupt one night with amazingly low losses. July 11, 2009 at 12:26 AM.

We at Life Seed Company recently attended the Colorado Garden and Home Show. it was great timing for us as it is now time to start your tomatoes and peppers as well as other start indoor crops. Gardening Tips: First Famers Maket

http://lifeseedco.blogspot.com/2009/06/first-famers-maket.html

Tuesday, June 23, 2009. Our first farmers market of 2009 was on June 21st. It was slow which is not surprising considering that it was Fathers Day. It was kind of interesting that the first market fell on the longest day of the year. I will try to post some pictures of the market once I get some bugs worked out of my computer system. Anyways, I will try to find out what he did and I will update this as I find out. Remember markets are always interesting! Labels: 29th street mall in boulder. Yorktown - Th...

Gardening Tips: Yorktown Pictures

Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Below are some more pictures of our trip to Virginia in 2007 for Jamestown's 400Th Anniversary celebration. A man gives horse and buggy rides just as they used to in colonial times. Note his British red coat. Historical Williamsburg is full of meticulously kept formal gardens. Although the picture does not show it this garden had about a dozen such triangles like 5 or so shown. I will be posting some more pictures later. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Monday, July 13, 2009. Our garden is just starting to produce finally! I think that our garden has been slow because of all the rain we have been having and the cool weather, but we will be eating from our garden again in a matter of days! We have some Zuchini and some Papaya pear almost ready to pick and all of our other produce is well on the way too. These squash plants are easily 3 feet tall, have the some of biggest leaves I have seen, and they are producing some large sized fruis too!

striving for pure | living a healthy, clean & honest life

Living a healthy, clean and honest life. Initial Thoughts on Attachment. April 17, 2013. We started EC a few weeks after Audrey was born, once I felt physically well enough to work on it with her. Audrey caught on right away and would pee the minute I set her on her little Baby Bjorn potty, and it got to the point that I was catching all of her poo’s! I thought that I would do this a lot, but now in practice I really don’t wear Audrey too often! And now her naps are 45 minutes max…. April 17, 2013. Some ...
