mp3 city guides: The British Museum
http://mp3cityguides.blogspot.com/2011/08/british-museum.html
Tuesday, August 2, 2011. Is a pretty impressive place. For one thing, it is free. For another, it is one of the deepest, richest collections of antiquity and ethnography you are going to find anywhere in the world. That, in my book at least, makes it an essential stop off point in London. Admission to the main exhibits has been free for nearly a decade. This means you can move from Ancient Greece and Rome (make sure you check out the controversial Elgin marbles. But keep an eye out here. It's one of Lond...

mp3 city guides: Leonardo at the National Gallery
http://mp3cityguides.blogspot.com/2011/12/leonardo-at-national-gallery.html
Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Leonardo at the National Gallery. Has pulled a blinder. It has laid out an exhibition of such beauty that it will be hard to beat for a long time. Nicholas Penny,. The Director of the Gallery and Luke Syson the creator of the exhibition should be praised and thanked for their work and skills. There are only 15 paintings by Leonardo da Vinci. I am afraid to say that if you do not have a ticket then you can only get in by queuing 3 hours from 6 am. Is it worth it? Of London, Pa...

mp3 city guides: Markets in London: Portobello Road
http://mp3cityguides.blogspot.com/2011/08/markets-in-london-portobello-road.html
Monday, August 1, 2011. Markets in London: Portobello Road. When I first moved down to London there were two markets everyone talked about: Portobello Road. And Camden. These days Camden is pretty dull these days - it used to be fashion forward but no it's a bit cheap. Portobello Road Market however keeps going from strength to strength. A gastropub with great selection of British food and beers. It's cosy and fun, but keep in mind it's toward the Westbourne Park end of Portobello Road. On our website an...

mp3 city guides: Bad bankers create bad buildings
http://mp3cityguides.blogspot.com/2012/02/bad-bankers-create-bad-buildings.html
Monday, February 27, 2012. Bad bankers create bad buildings. Why stroll around the dreadful buildings of today? London is being wrecked by the misuse of money. We are told that we must be grateful to the City of London for earning us so much money. In fact the City should be grateful to London for being such a lovely place to live. Why does it not put more of its riches back into London? We are now in a sad situation of mutual distrust and misunderstanding by the outsiders and insiders of the City machin...

mp3 city guides: Open House London: 17th & 18th September 2011
http://mp3cityguides.blogspot.com/2011/08/open-house-london-17th-18th-september.html
Monday, August 8, 2011. Open House London: 17th and 18th September 2011. Ok - this has to be one of my favourite thing to do in London. Every September, Open House London gives you the chance to get inside some of the capital's most iconic buildings and explore. Now most of us don't often get to see inside Kensington Palace. Or Lloyds of London. But, thanks to Open House, we get the opportunity. This year you can even visit the BT Tower. September 16, 2011 at 12:49 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Monday, May 13, 2013. Happy Apps for Paris and London. We now have 2 cities in the App stores – iPhone and Android - with Paris. Fully covered by our walks and general guides. A third is coming out as I write – that sounds painful but I meant that it is going to be launched in the stores in a few days. You will see from the App store that our developers are Locatify and I strongly recommend a visit to their Apps that are Treasure Hunts. Oh, one last thing which was a reason for writing this blog. Mak...
