Our story so far. The Fife Brass Band Festival. Was formerly known as the Carnegie Contest and was sponsored wholly by the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust. However after the contest in 2004 the brass band organising committee were informed that due to market forces the Carnegie Trust were reassessing all their grant funding to local organisations. The 2016 Fife Brass Band Festival. We are pleased to invite your band to participate in this year’s contest. Which will be held under SBBA and Scottish Brass Band Registry rules on Saturday, 23rd of April 2016. Each competing contesting band will be allowed up to 4 guest players, consistent with the current SBBA rules.
