Strong Start Healthy Start. Our staff is made up of Community Health Workers, Public Health Nurses, a Health Educator, a Fatherhood Facilitator, a FIMR Coordinator, and Community Peer Advisors. We are a certified and experienced team of friendly parent coaches available to support and promote the health of expectant moms, expectant dads, and parenting families of children less than two years old. Strong Start Healthy Start is committed to improving the father, parent-child relationship through fatherhood engagement, case management, mediation, and coaching. Our Dads Matter Initiative promotes this philosophy by providing case management and mediation services, access to father-child activities, and linking fathers to resources that strengthen the role for the involvement of the father and promote healthy and responsible behaviors.

The Infant Mortality Coalition attempts to address infant health disparities and ultimately reduce inequities in infant mortality in Ingham County. The overarching goal of the initiative is to keep mothers and infants alive and well before, during and after birth.
