According to the 2011 Census, the number of Irish Travellers has increased by 32% since 2006. The Irish Traveller population stood at 29,573 in 2011, the census revealed, up from 22,435 recorded in the 2006 census . It is estimated that there are between 20,000 and 30,000 Irish Travellers living in the UK and approximately 7,000 living in the US. Traveller Population by county (2011 Census).
